It's amazing to me that Memphis isn't on this list. In terms of small market and butts in seats.. they are near the bottom.
They've done a really good job in the last 10 years, and have put some of the more bigger cities to shame..
Some cities, like NY.. Clippers.. must be so hard to be a fan.

i would remove the Hawks, Bucks and the Knicks. these teams have won a championship.

Miami could be on that list if you take out the last few years.

Any team thats won a Nba championship shouldn't be on here... -_- and Minnesota shouldn't be third they made the WCF in 2004 and they had a stretch where they made the playoffs almost 10 years in a row (i forgot the exact number) ... Take off the Knicks, Hawks, Nets, Cavaliers and put Nuggets, Grizzlies,Hornets,Wizards

10. NY Knicks
If we're doing "all-time," Clippers are #1 because they've been irrelevant longer than any team in the history of the NBA. Bobcats can't be #1 over the Clippers because the 'Cats have only been around for a short period of time, though they have been terrible for every year except one.

Attendance is a pretty good way of guaging it.. a team that always has empty seats is pretty useless.

Memphis was suddenly edited in.. :lol but they have been pretty crap in the bad years, but pretty good in the good years. Any West playoff team.. would easily be a playoff team in the East. The East is hopeless..

Teams that have never made it to the NBA Finals
Bobcats
Clippers
Grizzlies
Hornets
Timberwolves
Raptors
Nuggets
Teams that have never won a championship but made it to the NBA Finals
Nets
Suns
Jazz
Pacers
Magic
Cavaliers
We can throw out the teams that have made it to the NBA Finals twice out of the top 10 (Nets, Suns, Jazz). That leaves us with 10 Franchises that have never won a championship and either made it to the Finals once or never.

5 of those teams are the 6 expansion teams the league added from 1989 to 1995. That was the greatest expansion effort in NBA history and competition at the top tremendously suffered because of it. The NBA expanded way too fast....6 teams in a 7 year stretch is horrible for the league and no other professional league has EVER seen that type of expansion.

I swear they should divide the league into Varsity and junior varsity. Like them pro euro soccer league.
That way teams that suck get to have the label "JV" instead of being mixed with franchises who care about winning.

I don't know how they stack up to the competition, because I haven't investigated every team on this list, but the Cavs have been one of the more consistently good franchises over the last 25 years or so.
They've made the playoffs 14 times in the last 25 years. That means playoffs in 56-percent of the seasons since 1988. They've also had six seasons of 50+ wins in that span and 60+ wins in back-to-back seasons. Three Conference Finals appearances and one Finals appearance... Not exactly bad numbers.

I have no clue why the Hawks are one here, four finals appearences, one win, multiple winning seasons, superstars, playoff and conference championship appearences

Makes no sense. Meanwhile, Minnesota isn't on the list while they've been in existence for 24 years, have 8 playoff appearances (33%) and have only made it out of the first round one time in the franchise's history.

Op is a dumbass, I would also put the Heat on this list, aside from this current era they haven't done much of anything for the majority of their existence especially before Wade

Getting rid of the Raptors and Clippers would be a bad business move, since both teams are located in big markets and attract big fan bases/free agents (unfortunately for the Raptors, the management is clueless on this part)

Pacers have three titles, Nets have two. Back in the 70s ABA > NBA prior to the merger, ABA titles should count in NBA as well just like AFL titles do in NFL.

The Hawks are the most irrelevant franchise in the NBA, even the home crowd cheers for the road team for the most part. Stay mad f*ggot. :lol

Where to start...
ABA was never better than the NBA. Their elite, top level players could certainly compete with the NBA's top, but the depth and strength of teams wasn't that close.
AFL titles don't count in the NFL.
