I met a guy who used to play in one of the big european leagues before the euroleague formed. He was 6'5 and I thought he was a giant. I'd met other people who were 6"-6"1 and this guy was so much taller it wasn't funny. If I had guessed I would have thought he was closer to 6"10-11 then 6"5. These players really are giants and you don't really realise just how tall 7ft must be

Once, I was in a club and there were the usual tall guys, a few 6'2-6'4 white guys.

And then I saw this freakishly tall thin black guy. Has to be one of the tallest guy i've ever seen in my life. Im 5'9 and that guy's shoulder was like 1 and a half head taller then mine.

It was insane, even at 5'9 there were few people who had shoulders taller then me, but that guy's shoulder was waaay above my head. Its very hard to estimate someone of extreme height, but he had to be at least a legit 7 footer if not taller...

I think a lot of people forget how huge NBA players are. Chris Paul, John Stockton, Steve Nash, Allen Iverson ect. are thought of as little guys in the NBA when in reality they're tall compared to average people. And the average height NBA players around the 6'5"-6'7" range are enormous compared to the vast majority of grown men.

The photos of Arnold Schwarzenegger with Wilt Chamberlain are one of the best examples of this.

Arnold was a really big guy. In his book, he says he was 6'2", 250 at his peak when he was a bodybuilder. Probably 15-20 pounds less by the time of Conan The Destroyer when those pictures were taken, but it's still incredible how small he looks next to Wilt and Andre The Giant.

At the hall of fame they have outlines of these dudes' feet and hands. I wear a 12 and Shaq's feet were literally like 3 of mine put together. His, MJ's, and Pippen's hands were freakishly large as well, like huge to the point where you think they exaggerated it; but the scary thing is they probably didn't.
