Honestly, if you were a fan in the 90s, that theme meant triple header sundays, marv Albert pre-intro prologues, the da -da -da -da leading to the player montages and that epic theme blaring in the background. Then when the game was done, going into the backyard or playground court and trying in vain to pull off that crazy ass move you just saw Jordan pull off.

I remember them using it during the 2008 summer olympics when the USA played. If they're not gonna bother using it, doesn't even make sense coming back to NBC. And if they do, I hope they use the classic intro graphic including the player montages. That would be fcuking epic.

brought a tear :cry: .. the narrative followed by that intro .. perfection .. even the narrator at the beginning sounds awesome .. 'tonight game 5 of the eastern conf finals between the miami heat and the chicago bulls' .. makes you realize how much more mediocre espn/abc's intro is .. does espn even do these type of narratives before the games ? haven't been watching from the start of the broadcast ..

looked up last year's game 6 .. seems avg at best compared to nbc's .. ok narrative but no intro theme at all .. they just jump right to the announcers .. weak shit imo
