Tim Duncans amazing shot was LEGIT. No shotclock violation, no time violation, etc...

Fishers was CLEARLY illegal and took longer than .4 :facepalm

Duncan and the Spurs could have 5-peated in that span.
2003 - Title
2004 - Fisher's illegal shot. But let's not act like that was the only reason. Lakers-Spurs series in 2004 is the closest thing to a chokejob in Duncan's prime.
2005 - Title
2006 - It was a bigger bs than Fisher's shot, Ginobili fouling Nowitzki in the last seconds of the game 7. It was one of the most single idiotic fouls I've ever seen.

Doesn't look like that to me. Unless you can find a slow-mo video of the play that clearly shows the clock starting late.

Why are you brbing when you type that? If you were actually doing that, this would probably be a non issue since you would miss the shot even worse than you just missed a troll attempt.

It is BS because in Ray's prime, his jumpshot speed (at least the fastest shown) was 0.65 seconds and he has arguably the fastest speed to get off a jumper. Derek Fisher's jumpshot form is slower plus the fact that he had to turn around and gave up a last second prayer from beyond the arc

That is after they won 3 consecutive championships while sweeping SA in 01 and beating them 4-1 in 02.

Yes, the clock did not start until after he caught it. It started late. There's no denying it. He didn't actually get the shot off in 0.4 of a second.

However... the clock stopped late on the other end after Duncan's made shot. The ball was through the hoop and had cleared the net by over a foot with 0.8 on the clock. So either way... Fisher made that shot in the amount of time that should have been given to them.

You can't complain about the Fisher play while not acknowledging that the refs should have given the Lakers at least 0.8 seconds total back on the clock.

Can we go back to earlier point in the games where I'm really damn sure seconds were lost and say San Antonio should also have had one more chance to hit another shot with 1.5 left?

That's reaching. We're talking less than 5 seconds with the game on the line with a point difference.

If you really wanted to do what you're saying, yeah, it could be done... but it's unrealistic. On top of that if every play in the game was watched that closely it might have been the Lakers or it might have been the Spurs with the advantage. Impossible to say without re-examining the entire game. Don't just assume that it gives the Spurs the edge numb nuts.

What I'm saying is perfectly realistic considering they were both the last possession for each team of the entire game.

Eat a dick bro. I don't even like the Lakers. **** them. And **** you too for being a Spurs ******.

How is it reaching? If it applies in that situation, it should apply throughout the entire game, should it not?

Why so salty though?

Because you're a dumb ******. That's why.

You're talking about clock management, essentially, saying Fisher's shout shouldn't have counted.

Well I brought up something else relating to clock management and you want to discredit it.

Why? Because you have an agenda and you are a biased ****. Run into traffic and die.

It makes me angry when a fan of the worst franchise in sports tries to criticize one of the most winning-est franchises in basketball (and all of sports for that matter) for being swept when their best player doesn't play a single second in the series.

Meanwhile, their team also loses in the first round despite having a top 3 PF, the best PG in the game, and probably the best bench in the league.

The audacity of that is mindblowing.

I'm a Spurs fan, but I don't complain about it, for many reasons:

1) We choked anyway; there's no excuse for losing that series against a much weaker team

2) The clock started later, but it also stopped later on the previous play. And anyway they can't be that precise

3) I made peace with the fact that we get screwed consistently. At least that one wasn't really done on purpose IMO. Hey, we're not the Lakers, we actually have to deserve our wins, and be a lot better than the opponent.

I'l give Duncan credit, he hit the shot to put SA ahead, but it was pure luck, and was as well defended as could be. Even he was shocked that it went in.
