would be pretty funny if T-Mac can lockdown Lebron and make him disappear again like in 2011. I don't see it happening, but it would be a great show.

He's getting little to no playing time, so he probably won't even get the chance to do it in game. He's right, he can defend him and had some success doing it, but the ultimate goal of it all should be a ring.

If i remember correctly, Tmac had one of his best games with the Hawks against the Heat last season. I cant remember if he was guarding lebron or not, but its interesting nonetheless.

It's difficult to isolate when james was guarded by mcgrady, but lebron has shot over 40% in 13 of the 18 games he's played against tmac's teams.

He probably won't get any playing time anyway.

He only gets garbage minutes when the game is already lost or won. Whichever one it is, LeBron will be resting.

Well TMAC is an amazing player no doubt... but remember SJAX was a solid contributor for the Spurs during past seasons... i think he deserved more respect... its not like its a decision that makes or breaks the team.

Pop just wants to embarrass TMac by treating him like a scrub (like by playing him only when the Spurs are up by 30 with 2 mins left).

Prime T-Mac would completely negate Lebron. The Spurs would steamroll the Heat.

It's the injuries that derailed his career. He's always put up monster stats in the playoffs. yes, the fact that he's never been out of the 1st round is a mark on his record, but doesn't take away from the fact that he did everything he could possibly do to help those teams wins.

It's not as simple as T-mac not being good enough to advance. That's just how things work sometimes.

I agree

2003 T-Mac / 2003 Duncan / 2013 TP / 2013 Ginobili >>> 2013 LeBron / 2013 Wade / 2013 Bosh / 2013 Ray Allen

Would be really fun to watch. For some reason, that era's elite SF (early 2000s) ... Pierce and T-Mac both seem to have major resentment for LeBron.

Tmac ****ing sucks. There is no player in the rotation that he could replace.

This isn't punishment. He's just not good. He never was that great, and now he's a shadow of his former overrated self. Keep in mind he was the second choice for the Spurs, after Andres Nocioni. We just needed someone in case Leonard gets hurt. If he can't keep his mouth shut they should get rid of him on the spot.

He's the same guy who was excited about potentially getting out of the first round a few years back, only to lose the series. T-Mac should focus on the task at hand (Grizzlies) and not who he assumes will be the upcoming opponents.

Also, I don't think LBJ will be playing in garbage minutes.

oh ok, you're discounting 06-07 and 07-08, so Tmac's prime ended in 05 at age 25?

25 shots + 10 FT's to score 32?

I still can't understand the decision of waiving SJax and getting TMac. SJax is real gangsta, who survived the Malice and can play thug ball. TMac can only elbow Chinese players. Big difference in toughness.

TMac is delusional.

Even in his prime he was never that great a defender, and that prime was a looong time ago.

Besides, he's only getting a few minutes per game, so it's not like he will have much (if any) chance of actually facing Lebron.

He started breaking down in 2005-06 and went into full decline mode from then on.

As for the two sweeps, you're not taking into account just how bad those Orlando teams were. He had to carry the offense and the opposing defense was free to zero in on him more. He still displayed good playmaking despite not having much to work with around him.

He was a good defender in Toronto and his first year in Orlando.

And, he stepped up his D whenever matched up with LeBron and did quite well with his length against him at times. LeBron had to get most of his buckets in transition, because T-Mac frustrated him off the dribble.
