This is where the Thunder plays at right?
Watching the news right now and OKC was just decimated by what they think to be the largest tornado in history.

No troll... google it... a massive tornado just hit OKC... but im not sure of the damages, but its true.
Yes, it is where OKC plays. That area is known for having bad storms and tornados.
It's why OKC's name is the "Thunder".

He's not trolling. It's true. Turn on the news. I don't know if it hit where they play at but it destroyed most of the city. The tornado was a mile wide and was on the ground for like 40 minutes.

First off, f**k off to anyone that comes in here joking.
Two elementary schools were hit and leveled, during school hours, trapping kids under the debris. Now, they're reporting that all the kids at one school have been accounted for, but who knows how accurate that is right now. I'm guessing the schools had a storm shelter, so hopefully everyone was in it when the tornado hit. The warnings came 20-30 minutes before the tornado got there so they should've had plenty of time.
Turn on TWC or CNN....it's in south Oklahoma City, which is the Moore area. Looks like the entire town was leveled and basically blown off the map. This is probably really comparable to the huge tornado that hit the OKC area in 1999.

Do schools in OKC have legitimate tornado shelters? It would seem to make sense.

To be honest, I'm not real sure. Someone that actually lives in the area could probably tell you. I would think it's something a lot of schools have given Oklahoma's tornado history.
I live in west Arkansas (about 10 miles from the Oklahoma border) and there's schools in this area that have recently built storm shelters, because severe storms and/or tornadoes are fairly common this time of year, though not as common and usually not as devastating as the ones that hit Oklahoma and Kansas. The primary and elementary schools in my hometown recently just built new P.E. gyms with storm shelters in them. Since tornadoes in this area aren't as frequent as they are in Oklahoma (we're on the very edge of "Tornado Alley") I'm guessing a lot of Oklahoma schools have shelters.

For you non-Oklahomans out there, here is a bit of perspective:
May 3, 1999 saw the worst tornadoes in world history rip through the town of Moore, Oklahoma.
Many are predicting that today's tornadoes easily surpass that, giving Moore the first and second worst tornadoes in world history.
They both covered nearly the exact same path, taking out many of the neighborhoods that were destroyed and re-built after the 1999 tornadoes.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BKvRt2SCQAA5MuZ.png:large
Today's was larger, wider and caused more damage while on the ground, even though it had a shorter path.
Here is a picture from a chopper of what some of the neighborhoods look like right now:
