Depends on both. I like both, but I have had good and bad cats/dogs.

Dogs. I don't get the point of cats? I mean I seriously think they don't like us. They seem to be sociopathic and mimic affection to get what they want.

I like both, but I prefer puppies over kittens and adult cats over adult dogs. If I were to get a dog, it would have to be a big, vicious one.

If I got a cat, it would have to be a small, adorable one.

it cool bb ill give you both for youre birthday.

**** cats. If people were like dogs or cats, everybody would be friends with the dogs and avoid the cats. Dogs are more likely to be friendly and approachable. The whole notion that you have to "earn a cats respect" just means they are assholes to you the moment you meet them.

Most people just don't work to communicate with their cat. Just do everything to your cat that he does to you. Rub your head against him, look at him with your eyes mostly closed, meow at him, purr with him. I do all that and my cat is cool as hell to me. He's still kind of an asshole compared to my dog though. Acts like he don't know me sometimes and shit.

thanks man it means alot. a year ago she was running around like a puppy. last summer vertigo hit her and she got better but never fully recovered she walks like shes drunk bumps into things sometimes falls down the steps. then about 2 weeks ago i noticed she was scratching her left eye non stop turns out she has glaucoma and her eyelid doesn't shut. i probably should have put her to sleep earlier but me being selfish kept her alive, but i can just tell shes miserable and it's cruel for me to keep her alive. i've had close family members die before and and that was horrible but i'm having a tough time with this one probably because she feels like the last thing around that reminds me of my childhood. crazy how fast her health deteriorated over the past year, sorry for being all emo ish.

Trust me, whatever feelings you think he has towards you are really just projected from you. If he were the size of a tiger you probably wouldn't want to keep him.

I'm allergic to them too, but I think after being around one for awhile my reactions subside. My sister had one and I ended up being the only one to care about it. But I still know it was evil deep down!

No need to apologize, that is a really shitty experience. When I think of people being "all emo," I think of them being over dramatic. You are being the right amount of dramatic.

Cats >>> dogs

Here's why.

Cats can take care of themselves, don't need to worry if you won't be home for a day or two.

Cats are layed back, dogs are like a kid on crack.

Cats can be some of the most loyal companions, especially if they imprint on you at an early age. They will come find your lap as soon as your home, meow & pur for your attention. Cats can be and are extremely loyal, I've never been bitten or clawed by my cats. ( granted I had them from childhood)

Cats and dogs are both cool, but my laid back personality goes great with a cat, when you get home their at the door to greet you, meow for food and afterwards their down to come kick it in your lap while you relax.

The only annoying thing about cats is they can be very needy. My cat will lay with me i the couch for an hour, and as soon as I get up he gets up to follow me into the other room, waits until I sit down and then joins me again. It repeats aslong as I'm home, it can be annoying but it's cute as hell. He follows me like a dog.

Prefer to own a cat but prefer my friends to own dogs so I can play with them. I have basically the grandparent mentality when it comes to dogs. Fun to be around but I'm glad I get to leave them with their guardian and forget about them.

Last time I tried petting a cat, it ran away scared and tried scratching me. Granted it was at some random friend's house and I was already a few drinks in :lol

Cats for me, though I like both. All depends on the personality of eithe...But in my expierence for the most part

Dogs
-Loud as hell, whether it be a mail truck, school bus, another dog parking, door bell etc etc
-Very needy/Beg a lot/Attention fiends
-WILL eat your food if dropped, or left alone in a place they can reach...almost no matter what the food is
-Can be ***** to guests
-You have to pick up their shit, and walk them
-More money to take care of
-

+Very affectionate
+Can play with more physically
+Gets rid of pests

People say cats just use people for food...But if you've ever tried getting your dog to come over to you, while a guest has food you can see they've got a one track mind also.

Cats
-Borderline sociopaths, but I've met plenty that are affectionate
-possibly gives you a parasite thst alters your mood, also making you love them more
-Cat box's kinda suck of you don't keep up with them. But oherwise, it's better than having to carry around a bag of shit
-Need space

+Can be, but not often loud
+Laser pointers+Cats=Gold
+Gets rid of pests, and are better at it. You'll love your cat forever when you see them jump 5 feet in the air to swat a wasp to the ground, which you can then stomp on

Obviously a lot moe positives and negatives for both...At the end of the day, it comes down to your personality also
