Kobe has the same amount of game winners than Lebron but got 5 championships out of it.

Instead of the "YOU'RE WRONG, I'M THROWING LEBRON UNDER THE BUS, KOBE>LEBRON" argument. I get your original point about them having the same game winners but you can't really argue the number of misses. Kobe has had a long NBA career, Lebron isn't anywhere near that level yet. I mean, one could say that Lebron has been the leader of his team for a few years and is basically the leader of the Heat now and only has that many game winning attempts.

To your credit on the same token, Lebron could end up surpassing Kobe by twice as much for all we know. Just pointed this out because I don't like the argument of so and so has many missed game winners. You take a game winning shot and you make it, you're a hero. You miss it, you're everyone's enemy but at least they have the guts to take it in the first place. That's why it's funny whenever anyone misses a gamer winner and they're quick to say "unclutch" but if they passed, they're "scared".

What kind of point are you trying to make?

Bosh didn't play for most of the playoff games that mattered and D. Wade was on ONE knee the entire playoffs. If you actually watched, D. Wade was obviously hurt, not playing anywhere close to superstar level and scoring under 10 points by half time almost every single game in the Boston series.

He led the Heat in 3 (almost 4) statistical categories. 28.6 ppg with 10 rpg and 7 apg. WTF are you talking about. Wade had 22/6/5 and Bosh averaged 14ppg (which is good) in the finals.

Not to mention, the series with Indy WITHOUT Bosh and a hobbled Wade.
And of course, the elimination game on the road against Boston.

Nobody cares about rings unless your the most important player on the team that wins them. Otherwise you can have fun putting Horry on your GOAT list.

So since Shaq was the Lakers MVP from 00-02, and Gasol was the Lakers MVP from 09-10, Kobe has zero rings. When Shaq left and before Gasol came the Lakers won zero playoff series. Yeah Im sure Kobe was the main reason for them winning, not them trading for Gasol or having the best bigman of all-time in his prime. :oldlol:

Lebron was visibly shook from about the 6 minute mark of the fourth til 90 seconds left in OT. He didnt want any part in scoring the ball. Thats brons problem in the clutch.. sometimes he goes passive. His GW was more of a defensive collapse than him deciding to put the game in his own hands.

Kobe is the opposite. He usually becomes very aggressive down the stretch and but on last second shots he forces the issue way too much.

If we could combine them wed have the perfect clutch player.

Fun fact: Lebron made as many buzzer beating game winners in tonight's game as Kobe has made in his entire playoff career.

Did I say that Kobe doesn't have monster games in the playoffs? : NO
Was he carried by Shaq since Shaq had better numbers in their 3peat? : YES

Did I say that Lebron led the Heat on their first ring together? : YES
Did you respond to this? NO

:lol :lol :lol

I'm not mad at you though. Glad to have this kind of argument to be honest.
Cheers to you man. Looking forward for Game 2.

I like Kobe a lot, but I'm a HUGE Lebron fan since his HS days. Fave player.

Had you asked off the top of my head who had more playoff game-winners, I would have assumed Kobe by a few.

Just goes to show how powerful the Lebron hater propaganda machine is. Even I've fallen for some of their hocus-pocus.

Preventing the injury by taking a safe fall instead of trying to stay on his feet while unbalanced... nothing wrong with that:confusedshrug:

That is why LeBron is healthy and seemingly immune to injuries, while Kobe is sitting in his wheelchair.

Funny how people point out that LeBron gets some of his gamewinners on easier shots as if it made his gamewinners worth less than Kobe's. Aside from 3 pointers versus 2 pointers, you don't get extra points for difficulty.

If LeBron were to attempt more contested fadeaways with two defenders on him like Kobe, his percentage on game winners would definitely go down...

But then what logically follows is this: his percentage on game winners... would look a lot more like Kobe Bryant's.

That's the problem with this argument.

In fact, Kobe's percentage on game winners is so low that it's difficult to know whether a pool of random scoring SGs, much less talented than Kobe, attempting the same number of shots, would do better or worse. It's not a proof of ability, just a proof that he's taking many shots in these situations.

I respect Kobe tremendously, and I don't wish to get into an argument beyond game winners. But those are the facts.

From the game winners (and misses) that I remember, both players pretty much created their own shot (ie not off a tip-in putback).

3 playoff game winners on layups. ............layups!
Yeah, because it's not like Kobe shot 9/31 against the Wizards this year. Or as if he needed 30 shots to get 33 points against Indiana.
