To be fair, Steubenville has a notorious rape culture associated with it's small town love idolization of their football team. If you're not on a football team in Steubenville you better do your raping behind closed doors but if you play football you can rape and post it on facebook and your coach and principle will do the covering up for you. Their infamous "rape crew" was like a group within the team that would rape girls at parties and threaten them, and it was like a team tradition. Some kid who used to play football their posted on the video and said something like "Haha just like how we used to do it back in the day, only the whole team got it in lmao". Just know that there is no truth to the whole "society has gotten worse" logic. Let me know when slavery becomes widely accepted in the Western world again or when entire civilizations can be destroyed in the process of stealing land and expanding through b.s "Manifest Destiny."

As bad as Steubenville was this was far worse.

First it was a 12 year old girl this time.
They gang raped her and sodomized her at gunpoint.
She was conscious throughout the whole ordeal, begging them to stop. The Steubenville victim at least mercifully wasn't aware she had been raped until she saw the pictures and heard the stories later.
She had to go to the hospital because of the physical damage they did to her.

There are levels to crimes and this case of rape exceeds the Steubenville rape case in terms of brutality.
