View Full Version : ESPN is trying to sell the "Miami Cavaliers" idea...

...to make people believe he is playing 1 vs 5, giving all the credit to lebron when they win, and putting all the blame on the teamates when they lose, just like when he was in cleveland.

I mean, anyone who watched sportscenter after the games know what i'm saying.

After game 2 loss: Sportscenter presenter and the analyst discuss that lebron had to carry the team throughout the game, and that the late 2 turnovers were results of the fatigue, and that the 12-28 shooting from wade and bosh together didn't help either. In my opinion, if the game is tied late, it's just a matter of execution, pacers executed and miami didn't, and that's include lebron turning the ball over.

After game 3 win: The whole team played well, it was a blowout, but once again ESPN comes and praise lebron post game, makes articles about it, giving the impression it was all about him.

After game 4 loss: Same thing, lebron can't do it alone, wade and bosh needs to step up.

Last night: this video sums it up: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=9327556

If you are the best player in the world, the MVP, you are supposed to go out and perform, put numbers and carry your team.

So i think if you are going to get the credit for your team wins, you also should take the blame if your team lose.

But that's not what happens, Lebron is always protected by the media, specially by ESPN. Basically, they are trying to make Lebron as the savior and a scrub carrier.

I just wonder what wade and bosh might think about it, they knew that they would live in lebron's shadow, but not in this extent.

How does whatever the feck ESPN say or do reflect on Lebron's game on the court? Is Bird and Magic also part of this propaganda?

Why the feck am I even answering this dumb ass post? Can anyone explain that to me?

Yes, Wade and Bosh are struggling, but other players stepped up in their wins. That's why they are super stacked. There are so many options that 2 or 3 of them play well almost every game (in addition to Lebron). And when they don't, they lose, so I don't understand how Lebron is carrying anything. He's been their most consistent player, but it's not 1 on 5.

Plus, the whole team is still giving great effort on the defensive end. Last night in the 3rd quarter; it was Lebron, Haslem, and their swarming defense that sealed the victory, not just Lebron all by himself.

If Wade scored only 10 points only taking 8 shots, and Bosh only scored 7 points taking just 7 shots, and they still won the game by double digits the team must be doing something right. How can you blame them scoring low points when they aren't even taking 10 shots in a game?

Espn was seriously pushing Lebron as MVP in 2011 when Wade avg 26/6/4 on 50% and Bosh avg 19/8 50%, it was at that point I just accepted thye have an agenda and to just deal with it.

Now that Wade looks like impacted feces and Bosh has virtually 0 impact I'm hardly surprised, if anything I'm shocked it took this long for them to go there.

Miami has played in 11 total playoff series so far.

In 10 of them, you hardly heard stuff like this from ESPN...or anyone. Because against Chicago Bosh was good. Against OKC last year, all three of the big three were good. Against Indiana last year, Wade was great. Against New York last year, Wade was good.

...so maybe Bosh and Wade are actually indeed just having a terrible series? You ever think about that?

We'd be still behind Miami, OKC, and probably LAC in terms of having the most talent, but we'd make up for that with heart and pressure Miami even more. But what does that have to do with Miami's roster? Are you denying the fact that several players have stepped up while Bosh and Wade have been struggling?

As a Heat fan, I gotta say I don't like LBJ throwing his teammates under the bus

"Going back to his Cleveland days"........... wtf man.. Did Wade go on his post-game presser during and after the 2011 Finals and throw LBJ under the bus?

Honestly, I don't know why LBJ does this. I am grateful for the run my Heat was blessed with. I was in euphoria when I heard "taking my talents to South Beach" in 2010 during that ridiculous TV special........ but dude..... if LBJ leaves in 2014 to go back to CLE, I won't care that much.

With his embarrassing flopping, and LBJ giving Paul George DAPS... LBJ is ****ing dapping the enemy during game 1 or 2 for dunking on a LBJ teammate.....you know how much confidence that gives George....., or LBJ's constant weird things he says......

W/e dude. I agree Bosh is soft as **** and I want him gone, but don't throw him and Wade under the bus to the media. That's weak as ****.

Wade wasn't winning another chip without Lebron. That's just reality.

If he's sensitive enough to where he's losing self esteem because of Lebron's presence as you suggest (a premise which I reject), then that's his problem.

If you can't see that Lebron is dragging this team along, then I don't know what to tell you.

Stars make money.

Lebron tainted his "brand" with the decision, so when the Mavs won, ESPN must have been thrilled because they could play up the "underdog beats the superteam!" angle.

Last season it was all Durant vs. Lebron. Lebron had a historic season, so now it was possible to hype him up as the second coming of Jordan. This is the angle they've gone with since then, since now it's OK for everyone to love Lebron again. Now they're trying to make it seem like, just because Bosh and Wade aren't playing as well, that they're somehow compatible to the Mo & co. in Cleveland, even though Wade and Bosh easily demand attention on defense and absolutely cannot be taken lightly due to their reputations as great players.

The announcers in general have been playing this shit up ever since Westbrook went down. Did anyone catch during one of the Thunder's games against the Grizzlies, when one of those dipshit announcers said, "now Durant probably knows why Lebron went to Miami!" It was clear at that point that they've gone past being objective to openly promoting their star like Will Smith pumping up his idiot kid during a media circuit promoting his shitty new movie.

they aren't lying. lebron's running the show with little to no help. by that i mean most players shots are created thanks to lebron commanding multiple defenders and a lot of defensive attention.

chris bosh has hit a surprising amount of 3 pointers for a power forward not named dirk. i'm not sure what he's doing on the boards without looking it up but i'm sure it's nothing worth being mentioned, not when he goes against david west and hibbert.

wade's not playing superstar like in my opinion. and he can't guard paul george because he's too small.

haslem's been great at hitting his warm up jumpshots that lebron creates because of said defensive attention he demands.

lebrons name is all over this series and is the main reason the heat are winning.

the pacers even know this, have any of you seen those interviews of the pacers? the only person they talked about was lebron, and needless to say it's for a reason.

like lebron said himself, if it's 1 on 1 he's going to take it and if they double he's kicking to the open man. from what i've seen that's been working so far.

but.......lebrons supporting cast in miami is by far A LOT better than what he had in cleveland. no doubt. i don't want that to be mistaken by what i've said above this.

Wade was averaging 20+ ppg in the play offs to begin with, Battier was unbelievably hot from 3, Chalmers stepped up massive and had a couple of 20 point games in the finals.

Just as i stated in the first post, once again Lebron teamates are taking a shot for the heat loss. I'm by no means trying to defend wade or bosh, they are playing the worst basketball of their careers, being straight up garbage.

The game was lost on the third quarter, as everyone who watched knows it. So why isn't ESPN talking about the horrible lebron james third quarter??? His 2 or 3 straight killer turnovers that resulted on easy indiana's fast break points???

As the team faced adversity, he did nothing, was just as shook as his teamates. There was one point that all of heat 6 or 7 points in the quarter were scored by Wade(who was playing like sh!t). Oh and nobody mention that he started something like 4-6 and went in a 3-11 run between the second and third quarters.

So, if you are the best player in the world, your standards are higher than the others, so i expect lebron james take over or at least try to let the team in the game in situations like that, but he failed.

So he ends up scoring some points in the 4th quarter when the game was already lost, ends up with 29 on 10-21, and nobody talks about it.

The only guy in the media who seems to see what i see is Skip Bayless. Look at his tweet after the game that i 100% agree:
