View Full Version : Who do you think will be the next big 3 to team up?

There hasn't really been a lot of talk about any other big 3 forming. It seemed like after LeBron, Wade and Bosh came together that so many teams throughout the league were trying to create a big 3 of their own. Who do you think will be next to try and do something like the Heat? Or is it better to just do a big 2 and surround them with great role players to build a more complete team?

There are rumors of CP3 and Howard teaming up this summer maybe on the Mavericks. CP3, Howard and Dirk would be a new big 3 and they already have Marion and Mayo. That team is way more complete all around than the Heat are.

Chris Paul
OJ Mayo
Shawn Marion
Dirk Nowitzki
Dwight Howard

That line up would decimate any team. Heat wouldn't stand a chance.

Yes it would...it's also impossible to have unless Mayo, Howard, and Paul all take massive paycuts.

I wouldn't even want Mayo on that team anyway...

Give me Paul, Dirk, and Pekovic...with guys like Marion, Carter, Crowder...and a decent 2 guard and I like my chances.

Only thing is OJ has opted out and he won't be resigned here if, in some miracle, Dwight and CP3 join Dallas. Unless he's willing to take the vet minimum or something insanely small.

TBH, I think there's a chance he doesn't sign with Dallas even if neither (CP3 and Dwight) come to Dallas. OJ proved that he's got a long ways to go, and he's going to want too much money IMO.

That second line up looks nice too, is Pekovic a free agent? A 2 guard, what about Tony Allen. He isn't a shooter bud adds mean defense. Can Dallas afford him?

Don't know about big 3. But CP3 and Dwith maybe.

There's not anybody on the level that Wade, Bosh, and Lebron was on when they joined. All three were top dogs and franchise players for their team.

So I don't see a big 3 forming in the near future.

CP3
Harden
DHoward

It would require CP3 and Dwight to take pay cuts to around 12.5 (and obviously they'd ned to offload Lin) but A big 3 of CP3 Harden and Howard would be pretty nice. If they take the 12.5 they can keep Aşık. Or they could trade him and those two could get rid of him and those two could get paid a little more. either way I like that team more than the Heat as currently assembled in 2014.

Dirk's on his way out. I wouldn't expect instant titles signing in Dallas

That actually would have made a pretty awesome trio back in the day.

Cp3 and Dwight would have more chances winning with Dirk than with Harden.

One is a proven champion, carried an underdog team to a title.

The other one has reached the finals but with Durant and Westbrook on his team and playing as 6th man.

Even if he's old he' still a top tier PF and he's willing to take a paycut allowing you to get more support.

Lol, Kyrie isn't fit to be part of a big "3".

It's Big 2: Lebron and Love + supporting cast which includes Kyrie.

He was mvp of all star gm last year he can be part of big 3 if bosh was included in big 3 of Miami, Irving can certainly make that claim.
