Even though MJ averages less assist numbers than Lebron, he is a much better passer and playmaker than Lebron.

All of MJ's passes came from circumstances where he was double or triple teamed, and he manages to pass to a wide open player under the basketball or some other form of easy score. The time it takes MJ's to set up for his assist is very short and MJ is very efficient with the ball.

Lebron's passes are mostly very artificial, meaning that it doesn't come from giving a teammates a very easy basket near the rim. Most of Lebron's assists come from passing to the 3 point shooter or the midrange shooter, which doesn't really increase that player's chances of hitting the shot. And Lebron's assists takes very long to set up, which usually involves Lebron dribbling for 15-20 seconds and making a pass which anyone can make.

With that said, MJ averaged 11 assists in 1991 finals, no other players besides Magic Johnson has accomplished that.

not only that, but mj wasn't even a playmaker (in his championship years). as you said, his assists would go to bigs under the basket. if it were a three point assist, the shooter would be WIDE open.

Heat shoot more 3 pointers, therefore numerically, James' assists are worth more.

Jordan >> LBJ

wtf is wrong with this site. Do you people watch the basketball? Your description for jordan's assists is literally the same thing lebron does. everytime lebron goes the the rim a help defender is going to come in and lebron will make them pay.

the heats whole offense is pretty much based on making the defense over-help to stop bron from going to the rim, and kicking the ball out for the midrange (Haslem & Bosh) or the 3 pointer (Allen, Miller, Battier, Chalmers, Cole) which their all pretty efficient at.

just because their offensive scheme is different, it doesnt make jordan's assists any "better" than lebrons.

ya because the smart thing to do in the fourth quarter with your team down is kick the ball out to bosh for a three instead of drawing a foul.

where did I say that? All I talked about are his assists. No where did I mention bosh's 3 point shooting capabilities or how smart/dumb passing the ball at the end of the 4th is.

Has Skip Bayless' troll routine seriously convinced idiot fans that some points are more important than others?

Lebron James - The Art of Passing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KT-zhe-5ORA

Lebron would probably be the #1 PG in the NBA if he were to play at that position, and arguably could have been the greatest PG of all time. There is a reason he is compared to Magic more often than to Michael...

Lebron's assists are ugly and unrefined. But Jordan's are sexy and unique.

MJ was a better playmaker. Passing skills about equal. Lebron;s the better facilitator.

yes, MJ > Lebron.
Only thing Lebron is good at is playing at a DPOY level and hold both superstars Wade and Bosh under 20 ppg simultaneously.
