Michael Jordan's 11.4 assist per game in 1991 finals is the highest assist per game by a player in the finals other than Magic Johnson.
Which means, when it counts the most, Michael Jordan is the second best assister in NBA history.

A reason why MJ is annointed as GOAT over Russell & Wilt.
MJ is

Excellent Rebounder for SG
Excellent Stealer for SG
Excellent Shot blocker for SG
Excellent defender for SG
Excellent Help defender for SG.
Excellent Leader.
& he only got better & better as competition got more & more ruthless.

3 point shooting? His only good season behind the line came the year they shortened it.
still the GOAT. No need to slurp him that hard

yes that's exactly what I said. Nick Young is secretly the best passer in the league.
If you actually believe that MJ is the second best passer of all time because of a guady number put up in 1 series then you are beyond help and it's useless to even argue with you.

Not enough sample size.. and in an already weak era, those Lakers teams were amongst the worst teams to ever make the finals (sans injury to James Worthy). Magic was over the hill/near retirement and Kareem had long retired.
Magic was the reigning MVP and finished second in voting in 91.
But for the life of me, why do people like you continue to say the Lakers werent a great team or act as if that championship should have an asterisk next to it because the Bulls didnt beat the 87 Lakers?
None of the great 80s teams could say they beat another great 80s team at their best.

We get it, he's the GOAT
That doesn't mean you have to over-hype every part of his game
there are many many players who were better passers than jordan. That doesn't mean he wasn't great at it.

1991
Magic was only 31 y.o. = 2013 Wade.
Magic was still in his PEAK PRIME.
Many forget this.
Bird was 3 yrs older than Magic
By ISH'ers logic, Magic = Bird so Magic Must be 34 in 1991. :lol

Then I guess the 1998 Finals counted very little...
Bill Russell set a NBA Finals record for a 5 game series for fg% shooting 70.2% (17.8ppg) from the field in the 1965 Finals.
Which means, when it counts the most, he is the most efficient scorer in the history of the NBA.
Isn't that how this game works?

Beside Magic's finals and MJ's 91 finals what is the next highest finals series apg?
Beside Magic's finals and MJ's 91 finals what is the next highest finals series apg?
Probably Bird's 9.5 in '86
Edit: Frazier avg. 10.4 in 1970, but his assist numbers are questioned at the moment.

It's pretty crazy that MJ averaged 11.4apg and Pippen himself averaged 6apg during that 91 finals. No team has ever seen two complete stars on their team. This is the main reason why I'm big on complete players especially as stars. Jordan and Pippen were so good at everything that it made it so easy to build a team with them as your centerpieces. What a luxury to have your two best offensive and defensive players as the same players.

Dude, I hate that you said this. Jordan is the GOAT, and especially his performance in the '91 Finals was so  on so many levels, but you're delusional.

No. LeBron is a better passer than Jordan was. It's okay to accept that.

I've always said MJ, Kobe, and Bron are in their own class because they are freak athletes, great scorers, great passers, great rebounders for perimeter guys, and great defenders. Plus all three can play and defend PG, SG, and SF (in Bron's case also PF) at elite levels. No other guys can really make that claim even though guys like Pippen, T-Mac, Penny, Drexler, and Grant Hill are all damn close. And that Lakers squad had a damn good team. I didn't expect the Lakers to beat the Blazers out West, but Magic was still the 2nd best player in world. MJ showed what a freak athlete combined with epic all around ability could do. It was basically like combining Dr. J's size and athletic ability, Gervin's scoring skillset, and the all around game of a swingman like Hondo all in one. Scary shit that totally redefined the game. And what u could look for in a perimeter player.

Kobe is not a 'great passer' - he's a decent passer when he wants to be, which is rarely. Your qualifications would actually be more applicable to Wade than to Kobe, who has always been a scorer 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
