I think its easier to respect people you go against as compared to your own teammates.. especially if a former teammate leaves gets a bigger role and blows up.

That being said, watching harden and westbrook in the playoffs Westbrook plays for buckets and is more talented explosive than Harden and his game is less ref dependant.. and that matters a lot in series where they dont call it tight like for example Indy-Miami.

You could make cases for Anthony and Harden this year that they were at least around Top 5 at some point. Can't say the same for Nowitzki.

Dirk - Had that godly series against the Thunder in 2011.
LeBron - Had another godly series in the finals against them in 2012.

Carmelo - Scored something like 40 plus and the Knicks beat them.
