Surprised Dwight Howard isn't on that list. On the opposite list they should show how Steve Francis looked a year after being out of the league. Yikes.

Man no one mentions deron Williams? He used to be chubbs. Rashard lewis looks like he eats pizza by the poolside everyday. Yes I would say Dwight made a huge physical improvement going into his rookie year. Joakim is jacked now also.

Rashard Lewis has always been skinny. Deron Williams is still fat, hence no transformation.

Other than Marc Gasol, most of these were just examples of young 18-21 year old athletes becoming more physically mature as they worked out. I'm nowhere near a major athlete, but I was definitely a lot skinnier at age 18 than I was at 28.

From skinny to very muscular.

Horrible horrible list. Other than Gasol they just picked a bunch of players who naturally developed.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Most seemed to be skinny 18 year olds growing into their bodies.

They mostly took scrawny kids at the age of 18 and showed what they looked like 10 years later, after they had been competing at the highest level as professional athletes?

What did they think would happen to their bodies? :lol

Here is a picture of an 18-year old kid. Now here is another picture 10 years later, after playing at the highest level in professional sports, as an athlete. Different, huh?!

Why do they consider 30 lbs of muscle over 10 years impressive? I could understand 30 lbs in 1-2 years as being something worth talking about.

Most of us were.

Who knew that 18 year old athletes lifting weight could actually gain muscle?:confusedshrug:

I wonder if Grant Hill stays out of the sun, or wears a lot of sunblock.

I don't get why Lebron is on this list. At 18 he was a 245 pound man-child with the build of the average healthy NBA player. His (physical) evolution has been in line with what everyone expected.

HORRIBLE list. From saying LeBron was scrawny when he was a rookie, to choosing all these players who barely changed or added weight as expected with age. Other players on the list gained muscle over a very long period.

I think Shaq and Rodman should be on there.

Not scrawny:

The first thing we all heard about Lebron was how NBA ready he was physically...and he already was as big as your average NBA wingman (T-mac, Shawn Marion, etc)...so this article was obviously written by someone new to the NBA as he called rookie Lebron scrawny.
