Would include Doc Rivers becoming head coach of Clippers
And I'm assuming Paul Pierce gets bought out, and he'll go sign there as well. Interesting. Danny Ainge blowing it up.

I like Doc and appreciate all that KG did for the Cs but that's a great trade. Jordan, 2 firsts, and maybe Bledsoe? The team is rebuilding so this is what you want to do. IF it goes down I hope thy (and maybe Pierce gets included?) win another ring but this deal is the way to blow the team up.

If Celtics and Clippers can finalize a deal that includes Doc Rivers, Kevin Garnett will waive his no-trade clause, league sources tell Y!

If the Cs found a way to get Thibodeau back that's a playoff team for how hard he gets his teams to defend. Otherwise the lottery is likely. But I like getting the draft picks and Jordan could become an excellent defensive center.

They can't just trade Jordan and Bledsoe for KG and Pierce straight up. There would have to be a 3rd team involved to make it work. That's where shit gets complicated.

This better be a joke. I do NOT want KG. He's not worth the money. Why would we even consider this? He's already 37, he's past his prime, well past it. The only players I'd even possibly want to trade for him are either Turiaf or Hollins. That's it.

I don't think he's worth all the other things involved. I'd much rather have Shaw who is exceptional at developing players, who CP3 also has really close ties with.
I know DJ hasnt come along like everyone has expected but im still high on him. Im still high on Bledsoe as well but Im really doubtful the Clippers would put in both them and picks for Rivers/KG/whoever
Plus it doesnt make sense on the Boston side as well. Why would they want Bledsoe, Rondo and Bradley. theyre all both similar players with same size. its too much redundancy

I agree. This would absolutely silly for us to do this.
DJ is still young. As I said earlier, bring in a coach like Shaw, and he will help develop DJ in to a better player, guaranteed.

he is only 6'0 so he is not a SG, plus celtics already have Lee,Bradley and Terry at SG.

When rebuilding don't worry about the type of talent, just the accumulation of talent. Sooner or later the right trade will come along to turn the redundancy into the players you need and until then losing to improve lottery position is actually a bonus, even though it won't please the fans or the players currently on the roster.

Not true. Just read a whole article about how that could work.
If a deal was made after July 1, there could be one big trade for both Garnett and Pierce with the Clippers sending Jordan, Butler, Bledsoe and Willie Green to make the math work. Separate transactions could also be made in this scenario as well -- allowing the Clippers to potentially be able to hold on to Green if that happened.
Separate deals they could trade Butler for Garnett straight up and Bledsoe and Jordan for Pierce.

Eh... if Pierce led the Celtics to 5 championships like Kobe I'm sure there would be no way they'd be discussing a trade with him. Pierce might have been a Celtic his whole career so far but with only one championship it's not like they'd be trading Larry Bird here. There's no way the Lakers would trade Kobe at this point. If Kobe is a true team player he opts out and re-signs for a much cheaper deal and lets them re-sign Dwight Howard easily and add more pieces to make them an instant contender again.

Its the cost of doing business. If Chris Paul tells them "Do the deal or I walk" they're sort of stuck. Meanwhile, Danny Ainge wants as much as he can possibly get if he's going to release Doc and who could blame him?

KG and Pierce are washed out. I like our chances to win a ring with Bledsoe and DeAndre than I do KG and Pierce. DJ and Bledsoe are still developing. Let's not forget that DJ led the NBA in FG% this season.. He works on his defense and free throws, he will be an absolute monster. Bledsoe has already shown that he can be an exceptional player. In all honesty, if it were just between Pierce and Bledsoe, I'd rather have Bledsoe on my team.

With all these trade possibilities going on, of course that is their main objective. They need to revamp this team or he's going somewhere else with D12. Looks like they're willing to ship Griffin if it lands them D12. They're trying all other kinds of trades to get rid of their stable of young players in exchange for proven pieces to surround CP3 and D12, clearing cap space for that to happen.

To keep him you have to prove you're willing to do whatever it takes to win. Holding onto Bledsoe over having Doc Rivers as your coach and a player of KG's talent on your team can't be helping the Clippers case. They had better have a bigger move in mind other than Brian Shaw as the next head coach.

Shaw could help develop players such as DJ and Bledsoe. Plus, CP3 has REALLY strong relations with Shaw. This team won a franchise record 56 games. Half-court offense was incredibly slow, and VDN never had a great offensive scheme. Plus, VDN all throughout the season made some questionable subs in very odd situations. I think CP3 would absolutely stay if Shaw was hired as the head coach.

Doc's a very good coach in my eyes as well but if CP3 wants to win a ring DJ and the two discussed picks are too high a price to pay. Garnett is at an age where if you try and play him over half a game consistently you might not have him by the postseason. Doc is good but if the roster isn't Championship-caliber he's not going to get you to the Finals.

THANK YOU. And DJ was invited to the Team USA camp. While there, his weaknesses will be targeted. He'll only get better at free throws. He has the motion down, it's just the direction and execution. Practice, practice, practice, and he'll work his percentage up at the line.

lol no he won't, KG @40+ will still be a better player than DJ, KG's IQ/competitive nature alone kills everything DJ can do, not to add the embarrasing mismatch in skills and KG being 100 times the defender. No one wants a guy making 8-11mil who is a liability in every aspect of basketball other than dunking. Boston is better off trading for Cole Alridch or getting Greg Stemisma back than they are getting DJ.

KG will be fine, in fact I predict better than the last season. Rondo was out who got KG easy looks, and Ainge hasn't had one big to play alongside of KG and that's killed him for 2 years now.
Put him next to a guy like Blake (who has problems, but at least draws attention down low and tries to rebound) and you'll see efficiency shoot way up.

I'm all about loyalty and I used to want KG and Pierce to retire as Celtics. Now I just think it's time to move on. We've kept this core together for three years more than it should have been together. I would love if both of them retired this year, but I have a feeling Pierce won't. I think KG will retire if he's about to get traded. If they both come back, trade them away for anything. I don't really care, just as long as we move on from the Big 3 era and start rebuilding. Hopefully Danny can pull off a move with the Clippers that will help the rebuilding process.
