View Full Version : What Would You Do If You Had A Week Of Free Time?

I have way too much free time on my hands.

I work week on, week off. I chill in Mesa when not on the trail, and generally life consists of reading and working out and whatever the heck else is a distraction. I plan on being at this job for at least another year, and I don't want to just waste half my life playing Starcraft and chilling with my girl.

SO! What would YOU do if you had a week at a time to devote to a hobby or pursuit? Would you learn a new instrument? Would you volunteer at homeless shelters? Would you take classes? What in the world would you do with a week of free time?

And go.

Download a bunch of porn. That's what I do in my free time anyway ... but now just add a weeks worth to it.

Work out or go back to school.

If that's not good enough, then I would keep busy by starting a business to compliment what you are doing.

What is it that you do and can you start a side business offering whatever you are doing on the side? That's if you didn't already sign a no-compete clause?

That's quite a productive week

Don't burst his bubble. If he wants to spend his off-week going back to school, then let him.

I do wilderness therepy with kids 12-18. It would be tough considering the red tape usually necessary as well as liability, but I would probably be of use to some other established company... maybe just go through a temp service to fill the hours even, I dunno.

But that being said, I kinda wonder what I can do to work on me. Fun but worthwhile, adds to character and personality but doesn't suck the life out of me, timeless but not boring.

Ya know? More hobby and less work, cause I only work to live, I do not live to work.

www.meetup.org

I have used this site and you should too. You can find a lot of local people getting together and doing stuff. One of the last groups played dodge ball and softball. People of different ages.

I have no problem keeping busy but the way I kill time may not be your cup of tea. These meetup groups tend to be much more productive and FREE.

I have three weeks of vacation in my company and took a 10 day vacation for mid June to go to the Bahamas for that time. Can't wait. I really need it.
