I don't think this was the worst choke of all time but considering the circumstances and the importance of the game it's probably one of the 5 worst.

Do you agree ? If you disagree name 5 choke jobs worse than this (but realize this was a choke that cost them the championship, not some round 1 or regular season choke).

And one more thing. Yes,I'm mad.

And Lebron was trying to get his name on the list again.

Biggest choke job imo was Portland going down in the 4th when they were up by 15 points again Los Angeles.

That was years back, but I remember that well. I was pissed (couldn't stand the Lakers then and still dont).

One of the worst I've seen. Probably THE worst. Up by 5, less than 30 seconds to go, in a championship-clinching game. Un****ingbelivable.

Haters hoping this title would be for LeBron, but he pulled through.

Are the Knicks an all time top 5 worst franchise?

Portlands a good mention for sure, but this might be the worst if Spurs lose game 7.

Unbelievable how they forgot to box out at the end of the the game. Schoolboy stuff, really. :facepalm

Props to LeBron for redeeming himself, Allen with the huge three and Bosh with huge rebounds and blocks though.

Bron's 3 should not have counted. Ray Allen set a moving screen. Also Bron committed an offensive foul on a drive where he lost the ball and it was a no
call.

Rigged for game 7.
My only regret is that I didn't get to see how the refs would have caused spurs to turn it over had they sunk both free throws. Blatant rigged technical fouls called against spurs perhaps to force the game 7?

This is the equivalent of if LAL lost that 2002 game 6. Even with historic amounts of rigging in the spurs' favor and a 5 point lead with 30 seconds left, they still managed to lose.

It's tough to top this. Others may have seen bigger leads lost, but I can't remember a collapse with these stakes. This wasn't about advancing to another series or to take an advantage. This was for it all.

can we please ban this fool? Even the most obnoxious poster here recognized officiating had nothing to do with this game. :facepalm

Let's see what ones might compare:
Heat G2 2011
Blazers G7 2000
Mavs G3 2006
Blazers G6 1992
Lakers G2 1984
Pistons G5 1987
Magic G1 1995 (Nick the Brick)
I'd say it's up there with the ones listed, I say it is top 5.

they already had the yellow tape off for the ring ceremony and had wheeled the trophy and the board out, then the Spurs choke. Now all them shirts and hats are going to end up in some 3rd world country and a few middle of nowhere town ass TJ Maxx stores

Last year the Clippers rallied from 27 points down against the Grizzlies in their series. That's a chokejob.
The Celtics came from 25 down in the 3rd i believet, agains the Lakers in 08

Also, the Suns were winning by 20 points with 8 mins left, against the Rockets in the 1994 playoffs, up 2-0. They lost that game and the series.

this has to be right up there .. probably #1 because this was for the title .. all they had to do was protect a 5 pt lead for 28 seconds and they're the champions .. epic choke job
