Two championships (2 FMVP's) and four MVP's is going to put you in the top 10.

Not sure, but two more championships (one has to be next year) and an MVP or two and he's the greatest ever in terms of overall achievements and stats. So high now, one would presume.

Either Top 10 or right outside, Hakeem is the 1st to get booted, then Kobe/Bird/Shaq/Duncan/Magic if Lebron wins 2 more rings. I think he can end up 5-6 all time but never quite pass Jordan/Kareem/Russel/Wilt.

Seeing as though the DPOY award didn't exist before the 1982-83 season, you might wanna use another stat/award. Who's to say Russell would have won 11+ DPOYs?

But since you and some Bron homers wanna go there:

If Lebron didn't have Wade or Bosh would he still win 2 rings?

That question could be asked of many alltime greats.Does Jordan win 6 without Pippen and Grant/Rodman? Bird win 3 without Mchale and Parish? Magic win 5 without Kareem and Worthy? Shaq never won without an elite guard, first Kobe and then Wade. Duncan had Robinson at the end of his prime and then Parker and Ginobli, and so on.

Hell, Wade and Bosh's play throughout these playoffs was so inconsistent I don't see how anyone can make this argument with a straight face.

for me personally he is a top 3 all around TALENT of all time, but as far as overall in a vacuum according to the general consensus to how we rank players I think he is top 8-12 as of rite now since the OP just only said rank him with the 2 chips. As soon as June rolls around and he 3 peats , fmvp and depending who they play he would officially cement that top 8 at the least. If he wouldn't have left cleveland and achieved all this without jumping ship, he would be flat out top 5 no questions asked.

Taking the whole picture into account, anywhere in the bottom half of the top 10 seems reasonable. I guess it depends if we're talking about if LeBron retired today or if he played the rest of his career without winning another championship... because in the latter case, he'd most likely accumulate a ton of statistical records to go with his current accolades, perhaps get praise for longevity etc. which would put him closer to 6-7 than 8-9. Don't forget the mythology factor as well. Players get overrated as soon as they retire.

Top 11-15. **** mvp awards rewarded by the media. 2 rings from joining 2 all stars in his prime. The asg games, and first team all nbas a lot of guys have. What constitutes a top 10 player? No one in the top 10 took a shortcut. Lebron needs to leave Miami and win one on his own then hes top 10, probably top 5-7. Until then 11-15 is appropriate.

He doesn't have role-players like Kerr and Fisher hitting clutch shots, he has Ray Allen hitting them.

Wade and Bosh: 11 all-star appearances BEFORE colluding with LeBron.

Pau and Odom pre-2008? One appearance between the two.

Pippen? Didn't even make an all-star team until year 3.

Of course you fill the list with people Kobe played with/against, so you can prop him up. :facepalm

Vince Carter in the top 50. Reggie Miller at 22. :facepalm

As a Kobe stan even I know this was supposed to be a troll post

If you're going to insult someone, first make sure the insult actually makes sense and secondly, make sure it's actually funny, you simple c#nt.

Another example of the brain-dead teenagers who follow the Heat.

Germans are a lot of things, but funny isn't one of them. :confusedshrug:

Right behind Jerry West.
????

Jerry West was the biggest choker in NBA history. Lost 8 of the 9 Finals he played in.

#8 currently. Suprised Bird is still ranked so high on people's lists; pretty much on all other forums Bird has dropped pretty rapidly recently

The two titles are tarnished because of the cowardly collusion and super team.

Has a strong case anywhere from 7ish down to 10. Building a case for 6 as we speak.

He was only good in one Finals. Hard to take his case too seriously when he jumped ship in his prime in the East.

I have him in the 35-50 range.

Top 10 lists are arbitrary AF and I have like 5 or 6 different ones. If he wins another ring + FMVP, he jumps to #7. Add another MVP to that, #5.

11 LeBron

2/6 in the finals ... LeBron failed to dominate Bruce Bowen, Jason Terry, Marion, Kawhi and Iggy

Kawhi/Iggy winning back to back FMVP is the final nail on James' legacy coffin.

2007 NBA Finals

LeBron 22.0 ppg, 7.0 rb, 6.8 as, FG% .356, TS% .428

2011 NBA Finals (smh)

LeBron 17.8 ppg, TS% .541 / Terry 18.0 ppg, TS% .605

2014 NBA Finals - Series Tied 1-1 (LeBron had the trophy in his hands)

Game 3/4/5

Kawhi 23.7 ppg, 9.3 rb, 2.3 as, 2.0 stl, 2.0 blk, TS% .818

LeBron 27.0 ppg, 7.7 rb, 4.7 as, 1.7 stl, 0.7 blk, TS% .676

This year was worse ... Iggy became the first FMVP who did not start a single regular season game

2015 NBA Finals - Cavs 2-1 (Again, LeBron had the trophy in his hands)

Game 4

Iggy 22 pts, 8 rb, 1 stl, TS% .693

LeBron 20 pts, 12 rb, 8 as, TS% .379

Game 6

Iggy 25 pts, 5 rb, 5 as, 2 stl, TS% .512

LeBron 32 pts, 18 rb, 9 as, 2 stl, TS% .438

Not to mention that Delly was the MVP in game 2 (LeBron and Curry's shooting numbers were quite bad)

2015 NBA Finals - Game 2

Lebron 39 pts , FG% .314 , TS% .454

No more excuses for LeBron

-LeBron got everything handed to him on a silver platter:

1) Perimeter friendly rules since day 1

2) Duncan/Shaq/Kobe/Dirk/KG were too old to compete with LeBron

3) LeBron colluded to form a super team

4) the icing on the cake: LeBron has played in a historical weak East (Cavs are overwhelming favorites in 2016)

Lebron has six NBA Finals appearances and he has only defeated seven 50+ win teams . It's a complete joke.

Lebron has same resume as Bird but with 1 more MVP and plenty defensive honors and then milestones, stats if it means anything to you... Bird has 1 more championship but it didnt come the way his other two came, Cedric Maxwell infact won the FMVP there in a Finals series performance of Bird which makes even Lebrons 11' Finals look pretty damn good.

My point is, wherever Bird is in your lists Lebron should be glued right next to him, if not above then right exactly glued behind him and if Lebron isnt that then you might aswell remove him and Bird from your top 10.....
