Feel really bad for him. Was 5.4 seconds and a Ray Allen miss from a fifth ring and a finals MVP. And to miss his last shot after playing so well must be terrible. But he's not any less of a beast for it.

37 years old and played like a beast, left it all on the court this series. Sadly, I think that was the last hurrah, his teammates really let him down.
Can't see him doing it again at 38, but looked like he was finished at 35 so who knows. Like Rudy T said, never underestimate the heart of a champion.

Dude beasted in the finals as a 37 year old. Deserves all the credit in the world.
Parker and Ginobilli really lost that game and series for them.
Well, at least he went out like a warrior.
30 and 17 in Game 6 in OT loss
24 and 12 tonight in a game that was still in reach in the final minute and a half.

So disappointed for him. You could see the devastation on his face.
The greatest to ever play his position and one of the all time nicest guys to ever play into the bargain. Honoured to have watched him play. Just hope he gets one more crack at #5. Spurs will still be great next year with the emergence of Leonard as a superstar so who knows.

Thing that impressed me the most. The guy's 37 years old. Plays center. Every Time he fell to the ground, he popped right back up, without anyone helping him up, and didn't ham it up for the officials.
Played like a got damn man. :applause:

Him and Leonard had to carry the other 3 starters during the last 2 game.
It was almost impossible pulling that off. He missed the last layup but at 37 he is still the best player in SAS and best center in the league.

His teammates definitely didn't let him down. Parker was clearly too injured to make his normal impact. Green, Leonard, Neal, and Diaw all met or exceeded their capabilities.
The only one who sucked ass was Ginobili, but he was trying to force offense too much because Parker couldn't do his thing.
Oh and that block on Splitter by LeBron ended his career so there's that. The Spurs should be proud despite the fact they let the championship slip away from them.

Feel bad for Timmy - he had a great year/post-season. Can't believe he played at that level at his age.
Very proud of Leonard. Pop needs to give up on this idea of a big 3 and turn the keys over to Leonard. Stop parking him in the corner and incorporate him in the offense. When they put a longer defender on Parker and blitz him, they need to have someone else to rely on. That person is not Manu anymore.
Hope they re-sign Manu for very little. Hopefully, re-sign Splitter for $8-$9 million after this pitiful playoff series. Get a real (veteran) point guard. Draft a big for the future. Play Leonard 40 minutes a night and let him grow/develop. Maybe McGrady will re-sign for vet's min and teach Leonard some of his offensive moves.

If he gets anywhere near 8-9 million he raped whoever gave it to him. Hopefully it's not the Spurs.
They're best bet is to let Splitter walk if that's what he wants, re-sign Gino to a reasonable contract and go after a couple good players in the FA Market with the cap space or a big fish. Preferably an athletic big man.

Spurs need an athletic big who can protect the rim very badly. Their defense goes shit whenever Timmy takes a break.
Josh Smith would be a PERFECT fit for Spurs. He can protect the rim, guard the Lebrons and Durants if needed and Pop would keep him under check offensively. My Celtics will suck next year anyway, so hoping that Spurs can sign Josh Smith this summer and it would be real fun rooting for them

I admit that Splitter was not a good matchup with the Heat. He needs some serious help learning to keep the ball high and not getting stripped. But, the West is filled with Gasols, Dwights, Randolphs and bigs that Splitter performed well against. Without him, Spurs don't get out of the West. Don't want to go back to midgets like Bonner, Blair and Diaw against those giants.
Who's to tell that IF the Spurs by chance make it out of the West that it'll be MIA in the Finals next year. IND will only get better with Granger and George improving. Rose will be back. Then what's going to happen against Hibbert/West and Noah/Boozer? Besides, we know that Pop is not going to make drastic changes. For God's sake, he stuck with Manu too long. He's not going to give up on Splitter after 3 years.
IMO, they should draft an athletic big, find a veteran backup point guard who can spell Parker for 15 minutes, re-sign Manu, Splitter and Neal hopefully to very reasonable contracts after their horrible play in the Finals.

I been a Heat Fan for the Mid 90's with Mourning and Hardaway days. Heartbreaking loses from the knicks. It's great to see the Heat win, but it breaks my Heart for it to be against Tim Duncan. I mean I respect him to the fullest, a class act all the way and it sad to hear about his recent personal problems. I wish it was against the some one else. Tim Duncan is at the end of the day an all time great that worked hard and respected the sport. I wish as NBA fan more NBA players were like him. He just played the game as it should. He never showed off and kept playing hard. I appreciate the Spurs in general. I do like my Heat but the spurs are a class act organization. Especially Duncan and Pop.
