I don't know who's going to win cause Barkely knows that he has to win because he talk too much and alot of people might lose him respect little bit or mocking him that he doesn't like it.

Bavetta does for a living and he never tired to running back to foward cause that his job and even 67 years old.

Ummmm.....I'm going stick with Barkely.

5 miles a day? I call BS

he ran one football field and couldnt beat an old out of shape Charles Barkley, who backpedalled the last 7th of the race. please. raiderfan is right and to disagree is WRONG. he must be losing SOME eyesight by now anyways

after those 100 yards, he was obviously getting tired too, you could see it

the race was a sprint... I don't doubt that Bavetta can run 5 miles no problem, probably at a sub 7 minute pace too

If he were to race Barkley on a straight away or around a track, even for a half a mile, it wouldn't even be close

Bavetta would woop him

Bavetta has endurance

20 years younger Barkley has the short distance speed

lol but if you heard Bavetta afterwards, he challenged Chuck to a rematch. I say finals week, outside, on a track. And make sure they got an oxygen tank on hand for Charles:cheers:

if he could keep up exactly the same pace for a full mile it wouldnt be 7 minute pace, hes slow as hell. I dont think he could break an 7.5 second 40.

If you think he should be fired because he didn't win you are one dumb ****.

it has nothing to do with winning or not. it has to do with how obviously fuking slow he was. if he had lost and both him and chuck had been fast fine but they were both slower than a damn 5th grade youth league team.

raiderfan doesnt like bavetta because Jerry Stackhouse doesnt like him... "explicitive D!ck Bavetta!" - Jerry Stackhouse after the a Spurs/Mavs game. SA sports radio shows where quoting that the entire series! :oldlol:

:oldlol: @ people saying that Bavetta should be fired because he isn't the best sprinter... Guy almost beat someone 13 years younger than him yesterday... I guess Barkley should be fired as well because he's unattractively fat...

Definitely the most entertaining event last night. I was rolling on the floor with all of Barkley's false starts, backpedalling, and the complimentary kiss afterwards. My friend TiVo'd it so we were watching replay after replay. Funny as helll.

Also, people saying Dick should be fired are nuts. An entertaining 100 yd dash is no gauge whether he should work another day or not. It's like the Lakers trading Kobe cause he couldn't make a chest pass during the skills competition. Please.

probably a typo, but I'll say it anyway; 23 years younger not 13 :)

Just saw the race, ***** dive at the end was hilarious, but that guy indeed needs to lighten up a little bit.

John Amechi kiss at the end... unnecessary...

haha for those who aren't scared of homos or being ridiculed for having a fun time and just being goofy, I guess some ppl would be offended by that..

I just think they were having a good time...

I was watching 2007's All Star Weekend today and watched this showdown for the first time in years. The Charles Barkley/Dick Bavetta kiss remains perhaps the weirdest moment I've ever seen in TV history. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9twwa9DvE1U
