"The Rockets plan to send general manager Daryl Morey, coach Kevin McHale, owner Les Alexander, Olajuwon and current Rockets James Harden and Chandler Parsons to recruit Howard, the source said."

and Kobe is the only guy that can tame Howard and he was still acting childish. Who would be the voice to Dwight at Houston?

Kevin McHale. He'd actually have a coach that understands the big man position and can help to refine his game.

McHale teaching howard all the tricks in the book would be awesome for the Rockets and Dwight.

Does Howard put the Rockets into championship contention? I really don't think so, unless Harden, Lin and Parsons take their games to new heights.

Howard would probably downgrade their offense too because he thinks he's entitled to a bunch of touches in the post for some reason.

The Lakers then use that 10 million trade exception to sign Andrew Bynum in a sign and trade - one year deal.

This will be the main reason why he doesn't sign with Rockets.

David Baumann @DavidBaumann33

Olajuwon's role in all this, source says: Mentor, work with him before practice, talk w/him & basically be another coach for Dwight Howard.

Basically, your post game sucks. So we will have Hakeem work with you. You really think a guy like Howard wants to hear that? He's pretty much set in his ways. He's been in the league long enough to improve and he has already worked with Hakeem.

He didn't improve his free throws and his teammates were Kobe and Nash.:facepalm

I won't say he comes back to the Lakers because I don't think he likes the pressure that comes with playing with the Lakers and then you have Kobe as a teammate. Very hard shoes to fill.

We dealt with a lot of those here.

Sure, I hope he stays, but not at the expense of some players. There's a reason why you don't send players to recruit other players at the expense of a teammate getting traded or ax'ed.

tbh even deron said that mark not being there had little impact. he would have liked him there so that he could've asked some more questions but he said the biggest thing was that dirk at that age combined with deron are nowhere near enough to be competitive. he also said that if dirk went down with an injury, it would be deron all by himself carrying the entire team. whereas with the nets it was him, brook and gerald.

Why would Dwight even care about that? You think Cuban can guilt trip him into signing with the Mavs? :oldlol:

If anything, that should give Howard less faith in their organization. Tearing apart a champion to have the opportunity to possibly put the pieces together to maybe contend for a championship in the future is what stupid organizations do. And the Mavs will likely get left with egg on their face.

Kevin McHale and Hakeem Olajuwon? Why would Dwight NOT want to sign in Houston? He'll have a young STAR in James Harden, along with a coach that will actually want to use Dwight the way he wants to play. If Houston gets Howard, and potentially strengthen their bench, I can see them being a Top 5 seed in the West.

The way Houston can drain the three ball, if D12 signs with them it will be like the 2009 Magic on steroids.

That's not a top 5 West seed, that's a championship contending team.

Here is the Lakers' plan if Dwight leaves: Keep Pau for final year of his deal. Use amnesty provision to cut Metta and save $30 million in luxury-tax payments. Re-sign Earl Clark if reasonable, sign someone else on the cheap and/or plug in Meeks or Blake to the starting lineup that will have two vacancies without Dwight and Metta but still Pau. Jordan Hill is the only other frontcourt player under contract right now.

This is what the Lakers do if Dwight wants to go. No S&T.

Explain Orlando. I don't think playing with a retarded slow team like the Lakers with a coach like Pringles was the best career move. Plus his back injury. A summer off and a change of scenery in the right system will have people calling him superman again. Bet.

Actually you're the worst type of Lakers fan. All you do is ride Kobe's dick and don't care about the welfare of the team itself. Any sensible Lakers fan wants Dwight to stay more than anything because he can anchor our D and will entice other stars into coming to the team. An aging Kobe with a torn achilles isn't going to do this. We are basically ****ed without him.

On top of this you make Kobe look terrible. You say such ridiculous things that everyone disregards your opinion and bashes him to prove you wrong. You're almost as bad as Kennethgriffin.

I'm a fan of the Lakers and Kobe, and while Kobe has done a ton for the organization by helping to bring in 5 rings, the team will always come first for me. I care about it much more than him.

That's not a cliche. People are generally fans of a team and that includes being a fan of the players on said team, but team comes first. I will root for whatever gets the Lakers another championship. I would have liked to see a fully healthy Dwight this season, but if he leaves, f*ck him and his whole world. When it comes to big men though, Hakeem is one of the most respected and was one of the best NBA players ever, not just for a big man.
