Brook Lopez and Kevin Garnett are better than Roy Hibbert and David West. What do you guys think of this? Can the Nets beat the Heat in a 7 game series? I mean, having Brook and KG if healthy could really pounce on the Heat and beat them in a series. What say ISH to this?

EDIT: Not trolling, never do. I'm just rationalizing the fact that if a roy/west combo forced the heat to 7 games, shouldn't a brook/kg combo with the addition of deron, joe, and pierce be able to trump the heat?

You're crazy, Hibbert is so much better than Lopez, it really negates the difference between KG & West.

Hibbert controls the entire defense.

The Nets do project to match up well against the Heat. The Nets' problem, however, is going to be negotiating the regular season schedule without significant injuries. If they aren't a 2 seed I see them having no chance of even getting to the Heat. Nets are not better than Indiana or Chicago, who they would likely have to go through to get to the ECF if they aren't the 2 seed.

Guess I've just seen too many over-the-hill stars join teams to create what looks like a dream lineup. These teams rarely live up to their hype.

Brook Lopez can't rebound for shit. In order to defeat Miami, you need to grab more than one offensive rebound. Hibbert averaged five offensive boards per game in the Conference Finals.
