Folks in Chicago love sports. It's not that they specifically love hockey.

The Hawks championship and season lead to a lot of bandwagoners.

I know, I was joking. It makes me wonder just how big of a showout they'd have if the Cubs won the World Series.

I saw the Anaheim Ducks and LA Kings championship parade in person. They didn't look as big as OP's 2nd picture but it was still pretty massive in both parades.

Hockey fans have a lot of pride, more than heat fans for sure.

I really do not mind seeing the Clippers in the Finals. :confusedshrug:

Doc Rivers should be able to toughen Blake up and maybe get on CP3's ass once he starts getting into lazy mode.

I gave up on D.J. tho. I was thinking he was going to be another Tyson Chandler but **** dat. that shit aint gonna happen.

Wow, that looked crazy. Chicago is a true sports town, hands down.

Chicago is the 3rd largest city in the country, and Miami is full of immigrants that could care less about basketball. They are notorious for being a city that doesn't care about sports. I remember Dan Marino talking about a home game he played in where if they won they locked up the #1 seed in the AFc for the playoffs and they couldn't sell out.

It's nowhere near Chicago's level of enthusiasm for sports. Plus, Chicago is freezing half the year - lots of hockey haircuts in that city.

So many bandwagon fans by most people's definition. I think they are just intelligent. Chicago had really bad attendance record when they were not a playoff team.
In 2006-07, they were 29th in the league in attendance. as soon as they became playoff team, they went to 1st.Chicago Hockey fans really know that money shouldn't be wasted if the product on the show is not good. I respect fans like these.

Me neither.

In any case, Chicagoans have no other reason to celebrate considering their other ball clubs so more power to them.

They needed some happiness in their life.

Miami is full of rich ballers who buy tix to go to the games. You cant judge the fanbase based off the crowd. Same reason why Knicks are always getting booed at home when they play poorly...even before this season it was something that happened regularly when they played bad

**** the Blackhawks...I was at Amalie arena last night for the watchers party here in Tampa, 15,000 people came out to watch the game on the big screens

Ah well...hopefully we make it far next season as well, making it to the finals was a surprise to me tbh.

You gotta very nice team that is composed of mainly youth. All Stevie has to do is lock up Stammer and continue to tinker around the core. The tough defeat should serve as a good learning lesson going forward. They've already made nice strides from last year.

Chicago on the other hand... Unreal

A few things:

-Miami's population is roughly 400k, Chicago is 3M or so
-What else do Chicagoans have to cheer for? The "cursed" Cubs? The terrible Bears? The "first or second round exit king" Bulls?

BarberSchool

No, becuase Miami is not a sports town.
It's a few distinct groups, none of which frequent sporting events:

1. Broke Haitians
2. Aspiring right wing cubans
3. Old rich jews from NY

The numbers of these two groups (who support sports teams to a degree) are too small to support sports teams in the true sense, like Chi/Bos/NY/Phila/etc:

4. Rednecks from other areas of the south who think they're doing it
5. Bammas from other areas of the south who think they're doing it

In closing, f#@k Miami.
