bledsoe to the bucks is a given

caron as well? or to the suns?

Dudley or JJ to the clips? Maybe a signed and traded wes johnson?

Im curious to see what was involved, considering we have yet to see the suns in any trades involving the clippers this off season.

EDIT:
nevermind. guessed wrong. bledsoe to the suns.... damn. didnt see that coming. whats the point though? they have a great pg in dragic and for whatever reason drafted marshall last season, as well.

This was a really good move for the clippers. quality player wise, not sure about contracts though.

They improved at the 3 with dudley(he plays much better at SF, but was forced to play SG a lot last sesaon with phx because they started tucker at the 3). and Redick will be the best shooter on the team, and will keep the defense honest, which in turn opens up lanes for both griffin and paul.

Them and the Raptors. I still have no clue what good it did to trade for Rudy Gay. Now they can't even tank properly because he's just good enough to keep them in the 8-10 range in the East.

They rarely post up a story just because another reporter confirms it. They have to wait for the likes of Broussard to "confirm" shit with his sauces.

They do have some quality reporters like Stein and Shelburne...and their breaking news stuff is broadcasted as soon as tweeted lol.

I think you have to look at how the pieces fit with this team, not at potential and what they COULD have gotten. Reddick and Dudley to go with CP3 and Griffin is a nice combination, and with Doc running the show he'll find a way to get them all involved.

I don't understand this fuss about Bledsoe, he can't run an offense, he's not a particularly good scorer. Great rebounder for his size and decent defender but he will not start for Phoenix unless it's at the 2.

Future potential? For what? Being a backup behind the best PG in the league for the next 5 or so years?

They wouldn't be able to afford Bledsoe after his contract is up anyways. Dudley can do the things Butler can do, while being much younger. Redick was a great pickup as well.

I like this for the Clippers.

2 solid starters for a backup that didn't fit long term plans.

Dudley/Reddick can both stretch the floor for BG/CP3, are good character guys and play hard on defense.

I would have preferred Afflalo but I'd give the Clips a B for the trade. My only concern with it is it might set their ceiling lower. Another option was to role the dice on a guy like Mayo that was higher risk/higher reward.

P.S. Suns got a steal.

Reddick and Dudley in no way will do anything to Clippers championship chances. Cp3 is not good enough to win a championship as the first option. Bledsoe and Butler were not the reason why Clippers didn't win and Reddick and Dudley sure as hell won't be what will get them over the line.

You're a moron. Clippers upgrade with Dudley over Caron easily and then get a solid shooter and starting 2 in Redick for a guy that would never have been their starter. Not to mention unloading Caron's contract.

They're not done, but have added solid pieces...still have the MLE left according to Eric Pincus. Oh and that Doc Rivers guy? Heard of him?

Are the Bucks the dumbest team alive? They trade Tobias Harris who's on a rookie scale contract for 1/2 year of JJ Redick. Which was stupid because the trade did NOTHING to help them in playoffs....of course. And Harris goes on to score 17 PPG.......

And NOW:

Clippers: "Well, we really want JJ Reddick. Only way we can get him is with your help.
Bucks: "Yes we know."
Clippers: "Well, you got us by the balls. Name your price."
Bucks: "We'd like ONE....no wait a second....make that TWO 2nd round picks."
Clippers: "Whew......geez I don't know.....well I guess we'll just have to bite the bullet. You got it."

Phone hangs up.

Clippers laughing their asses off.......

Seriously, the Bucks are semi-retarded. I would have asked for a MINIMUM of a 1st round pick to make deal happen...and probably more. Otherwise, I just hang up the phone.....

My take:

While I'm not high on this trade, there are a few reasons why Clippers made out well. Outside of Bledsoe being the same division and JJ being overpaid.

1] Shooters. Crawford, JJ, Bullocks, Dudley & Willie are all real solid shooters and will open up the paint for Blake and DJ to get easy finishes off P&Rs or kick outs to wide open guys.

2] High character guys. Not saying Bleds nor Butler were high character, but I think JJ and Dudley will seamlessly fit into the rotation and pick up where they left of.

3] Defense with Dudley. He's a real solid defender and a definite upgrade from Butler.

4] Avoid any Bledrama if he were to continue coming off the bench.

And another random plus, for me at least, I get to see Bleds live at least a dozen times for dirt cheap.

Any Suns fan knows that Dudley was just doing some IRL trolling that game, trying to get in Blake's head. That's what Dudley has always been best at, getting in other team's heads. He's not the most athletic or flashy player for sure, but he's a good troll and can occasionally go off for a huge shooting night. He is also a great defensive player when he's pumped up to hustle(although he was a bit lazier the past few years on the Suns due to them not having a winning record, I would expect him to get back to being the Junk Yard Dog for the playoff contending Clippers). So I think Clippers fans will like this trade in the long run.

Your team fcuked up by letting Bledsoe go for an overpaid shooter and Dudley who's like meh. They could of got something better.

Bucks should just close up their franchise until someone works out how to run them. They are becoming like Sacramento has been the last 5 to 7 years.

Have no idea what need Phoenix has for Bledsoe. Does this mean they are trading Dragic? Bledsoe cannot play SG, he is too undersized.

I feel sorry for fans of these teams. I swear they just throw together a trade for the sake of getting someone new.

They could move Dragic to SG, he definitely has shown some amazing go-to scoring talent at times, and definitely has the size to play #2 as well:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLWjQ7nZTkI

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pflb0n7JcSQ

Look at those moves... if he can keep the confidence to do that consistently he can be Manu Ginobili 2.0.

But at the same time he shows so much potential at the PG position.... his passing/playmaking is so Steve Nash esque at times it makes me wonder if having him at SG could be wasted potential. I'm so torn. Either way, I don't think the Suns management is stupid enough to trade him after begging him to come back home last year, and after he worked his ass off more than anyone on the team trying his ass off to win even when the season was lost.. He is a fan favorite here and basically the only one on the team that's shown legit superstar potential. Trading him would be a huge mistake.

Fair enough, but you want a guy taller than 6 feet 1 playing SG is what I'm saying. Maybe Bledsoe is athletic enough and good enough on defense to overcome the size? Who knows.

I don't think Suns made out too bad in the trade, I think they got the guy with the most upside and athleticism. And if they are playing him next to Dragic, well I guess they do have a plan...

Dr. Cheesesteak

The more I think about it, I'm really liking this trade for LAC. Especially w/ Doc Rivers at the helm. I think Dudley is way underrated and an upgrade over Butler in pretty much every aspect. Losing Bledsoe hurts, sure, and they have no true starting SG. But Willie Green, Reddick, and Crawford are a pretty dang formidable rotation to play off CP3 or spell CP3.

I was thinking about that too. Even Coach hunter said he wants Dragic to take a bigger role in the scoring dept. But i think what makes dragic who he is, is that hes is a bigger PG, that can score when needed but also play make, defend, and pass. Moving him to the two can work, but in my opinion hes always been more beneficial at the 1.

I'm shocked at how little the Clippers are getting in this trade. Everyone was falling all over each other to suck off Bledsoe last season. me included

Just curious, as a kings fan, would you be down for Dragic for a S/T Evans?

who said I'm a Kings fan...?

Jk.

I'm one of the rare Isaiah Thomas fans. I understand his flaws of not having shown he can run a team, but his PER was 16th in the league among all PGs (better than Jrue and Lillard) and he some really good skills. But I'd be content w/ him coming off the bench as a tempo/energy guy.

Dragic would be great for running the offense, but that wouldn't resolve the giant backlog of guards the Kings have, specifically point guards. It'd be Dragic, Isaiah, Toney Douglas, Ray McCallum, and Jimmer (he's not fooling anyone as a SG). Two would have to go, probably Isaiah and Jimmer. Douglas is a great defender - up new coach Mike Malone's alley - and McCallum seems to be pretty popular among the coaching staff and front office (i dont think they're blowing PR smoke, I think they really like him).

So I'd have mixed feelings. I'd just hope Isaiah could go somewhere where he gets the rep and pub he deserves. But I think Dragic would be good for the team. And I won't miss Tyreke. I've been calling for his trade the past 2 seasons under Smart. Though I think he'd actually fit well under Malone now.

#freeDragic

dude gets shafted everywhere he goes

This. I'm convinced the majority of GM's don't know what the hell they're going.

yee thats crazy. i posted that before the OP put who went where. and since there were a bunch of reports coming out that said the bucks were interested in bledsoe, all signs pointed to them getting him. still dont get this for the suns.

everybody got worse :wtf:

Them and the Raptors. I still have no clue what good it did to trade for Rudy Gay. Now they can't even tank properly because he's just good enough to keep them in the 8-10 range in the East.

Suns future is looking bright!

We making the playoffs next season!

suns need to package dragic and beasley for afflalo

decided to package all the stupid suns-related posts into 1 (plus 1 about the raptors just for good measure)

:hammerhead: to all of you

The Suns now have 4 points in Dragic, Bledsoe, Marshall, Goodwin.

Someone has to go. I for one am thinking Bledsoe will be packaged with Gortat in a trade. Either that or Dragic is going, which I on a fan level will disapprove on.
Dragic is a good player to have on this Suns team, and i mean long term. Plus the Suns are high on Goodwin, with Marshall most prolly considered expendable at this point.

Bledsoe is a trading asset for a bigger trade, that i believe.

Suns got the better end of this trade but surely they will move him again.

The Suns only good position is PG. I dont see Bledsoe and Dragic playing well together.

Yea, Dudley is an underrated piece here. If he wasn't playing on the Suns last year and had of being on a championship calibre team, people would be going nuts over him.

Suns new management want the Dragic/Bledsoe backcourt, Bledsoe isn't being moved again.

ONLY if the right deal comes along the Suns want to use a Dragic/Gortat trade package. Scola can also be moved after July 15th.

The odd man out at PG is Kendall Marshall. Word is the locker room was a mess last season because of Beasley/Morris Twins/Marshall. Complaining about playing time, not listening to vets, coaches etc. etc.

yes the Suns should be looking to move one of them.
else it will be another TJ ford Calderon or Dragic Lowry tandem.

for the post above. Yes Dudley is a good piece for any team. He shoots well, D well, hustle, and what's most significant about him is he brings good positive attitude, on and off the court. a smart player and a great locker room guy. Not someone you would call gifted or talented at the Nba level, but a determined player who doesn't backs down on competition. Good pickup for the clipps

McDonough doin work...

Can Bledsoe play the 2 though?

brandonislegend

They will both play, Dragic will play PG on offense and Bledsoe off guard, on defense Dragic will guard 2's and Bledsoe will guard the opposing PG....I don't think it will work though.

More I think about this trade, the more I like it. Definitely opens up the paint for DJ/Blake to ensure Lob City continues while adding high quality guys that can knock down shots at will.

If Sacks can round out the offseason with the following, I'd be ecstatic:

Bobby Brown and Earl Watson to Vet Minimum deals to backup Paul.
Carl Landry to full MLE for 3 years (Year 3 a PO)
S&T Billups to Dallas for TPE + 2nd. Turn around and deal TPE + 2nd to the Bobcats for Brendan Haywood. If not this, sign Kaman to the MMLE.
Ryan Hollins to Vet Minimum to be the third C.
Odom to 1/5 deal.

DC:
Paul - Brown - Watson
Redick - Crawford - Green
Dudley - Bullocks
Blake - Landry - Odom
Jordan - Kaman/Haywood - Hollins

Reddick is a good player but he comes with a quite bad contract.
Dudley is a good 3pt shooter and playing with CP3 he can maximize his potential.

Suns got the better hand of this trade and i expect them to trade Dragic.

I don't know what's wrong with the Bucks, they seem like they are giving up

I can see the Clippers being like the Heat in which they can really spread the floor and shoot the lights out. But unlike the Heat the Clippers have an inside game and can rebound. Should be interesting.

So Milwaukee basically traded Harris and Redick for two 2nd round picks?
Not basically, literally.

best case scenario?

this is a very good trade talentwise, but Clippers defense may need some work. I know they got Rivers, but that aint enough

Have fun w/ Dudley clips. At least he's a solid energy guy.
