I'm a big Belinelli fan (like he could start on many teams) and that's a solid deal too.

I thought the Nets would pick him up for Mini-MLE, but anyway congrats to Spurs. Hopefully we do not end up using Mini-MLE on some worthless Euroleague players.

Really happy about it, prolly he's gonna get 2 years/5,4m.

Hope that the rumors about resigning Neal even after they got Beli are not true.

I want to doubt that they will resign Gary. Could be the Spurs just helping him out by keeping his value up so he gets a better offer than just the qualifying.

Prolly. Right now Spurs have so many guards.

Hopefully Neal and De Colo will be gone next season.

De Colo's not a real threat to get solid minutes right? He could be the 14th or 15th man and only suit up when needed. Main rotation would be Parker, Green, Manu, and Belinelli, maybe Cory Joseph, right? Though there's Patty Mills...that's 7 Gs (not counting Neal) out of 15 slots... so maybe 1 does have to go.

Solid signing for the Spurs. Wish he could of returned to Chicago, but they obviously went with Dunleavy over Marco.

Yeh but hopefully they aren't done with FA unless they signed him with the MLE so even De Colo might go.

On a side note he even refused an higher offer from Cleveland, Cavs are really active right now.

Another soft Euro.

You're a moron. You obviously didn't watch the playoffs. Belinelli stepped up and played HUGE minutes.
Guarded Joe Johnson, Dwayne Wade & Lebron James.
Made CLUTCH shots.
Had a couple huge games that the Bulls likely don't win unless he goes off.

Just because he isn't covered in tatoos and named DeMarco Belinelli doesn't mean he's soft.

You're an idiot.

What's great is that he signed for less to be here and it also means no defense having, hero ball playing Neal is not returning.

Wow this is huge for the spurs but might be even bigger for bellineli. He could get some mentorship from Manu, and pop will also utilize him efficiently. Spurs are not my favorite team but they are one of my favorite organizations if that makes any sense.

And as for now, Belinelli has more offensive weapons than Green. It'll be great to see Green develop in the offseason.

Yup, Green should work on ways to create his own shot. He doesn't need an offensive arsenal, but three or four moves would be good. He got plenty of athleticism to make it happen.

Miami could've actually used him. Cheap, can defend when motivated, and can hit the 3.

He's just so meh. He is a JAG. 10 PPG on around 40% shooting that provides no rebounding/passing/defense.

If SA wants to really improve they have to get someone who can create for themselves or for others. Marco doesn't do that.

Good signing for them. Belinelli was one of the only good things about last season for the Bulls.

I wonder if this means they're not going after AK47 now? I also heard Gary Neal won't be back. They should definitely go after Jarrett Jack now. If they can just sign one more solid big their offseason will be a success.

What you mean to say is that he's not black so he can't be tough or good or cool, and if you say you like him you know you won't look cool. Get a clue.

I valued his play for the short time he was with the Bulls and I'm happy he goes to a team who will utilise his talent well and he can be successful.

Locked_Up_Tonight

Is he really an upgrade though?

Gary Neal last year:
9.5 PPG
2 RPG
2 APG
41% FG
36% 3P
87% FT
21 MPG

Marco
9.6 PPG
2 RPG
2 APG
40% FG
36% 3P
84% FT
25.8 MPG

Gary Neal produces the same stats in less minutes. Like I was saying earlier, Marco is a JAG. SA really needs to find a playmaker, not just fill the exact same thing that they had.

Yeah Bellenli is a very capable playmaker, he's got a far better handle than Neal and is better at creating for himself and others not to mention he's bigger. Marco I really feel for his talent level has underperformed tremendously in his NBA career though.

And yet his playmaking ability never translates to actual stats. He has a career average of 1.5 APG. And he is a career 42% FG. So his playmaking is not getting him easier looks and it isn't getting his team assists. He is not just a standstill shooter, because he can come off the pick and roll or screens. But his playmaking pretty much ends there. He isn't a guy you casn throw the ball to and say: go one on one and get a hoop.

He is JAG. And while teams need some of those, the Spurs need to upgrade, not keep the same thing. And they already have that in Neal. Or did I guess I should say.

He's a good shooter, he can handle the ball quite well and can help Manu at creating the offense. He's really quick and good at attacking to the rim. Also he's isn't afraid of taking big shots.

Last year he started bad and played just few mins but after a while he gained Thibodeau's trust and he got a bigger role, that means a lot.

And the year in Chicago helped him greatly to become a better defender.

So he's quite a big improvment to Neal and considering Manu age and him always being injured, he's gonna play a lot of minutes in SA.

Also signing him was really cheap, prolly even less than 3m per year.
