One of the poorer countries in South America, there is always some crazy story coming out of there about robberies, assaults, murders, you name it.

[QUOTE]Decapitated referee mutilated by fans: Head put on stake in Brazil soccer field

A decapitated referee was the barbaric ending to a soccer game in Brazil. The decapitated referee's head was placed upon a stake in the middle of the soccer field, according to USA Today on July 6, 2013. This violence in Brazil at this soccer game plays out as just surreal, as it started with the referee stabbing a player.

The referee was attacked and stoned by enraged spectators who quartered his body after he stabbed a player in the heat of an argument. Referee Otavio da Silva expelled player Josenir Abreu from the game, which resulted in a fist fight. It was then that da Sliva took out a knife during this fight and stabbed Abreau, who died from the stab wound on his way to the hospital.

Abreu's friends and relatives stormed the field to get to the referee. This is when they stoned him and

Really? I was under the impression Brazil was one of the more wealthy nations on the South American continent.

Well, it has a high poverty rate which is what I'm mainly referring to, however it has the 8th largest GDP in the world, but the divide between rich and poor is huge.

Imagine if at a miami game joey crawford stabbed chalmers and fans came and cut joeys head off..

What exactly is the issue? The guy STABBED AND KILLED a player during a fist fight, then the fans retaliated and killed him in return. Life for a life, seems fair. Not like it was senseless violence, the dude deserved it as far as I am concerned.

Here killings happen randomly and for no real reason, go research some of the shit that happens in Mexico or southern USA, it makes Southern America look like a utopia.

The "referee" (lol just some thug they chose to be the referee) was there with a freaking machete in his waist. It was not a knife, it was a machete. Yea and the justice system in the United States has been such a success. :oldlol:

All it is in the end is just another corrupt business structure. It would be more productive for society if every person that intentionally killed another was executed. That way people wouldn't actually be so reckless with other lifes and would think before killing instead of relying on free food and shelter for life.

That guy deserved what he got, now next time an official decides to stab someone in front of a their friends and family, he will think twice.

Ronaldinho, my friend. Don't go down that road. Every country has its problems. Of course, we have more problems than the US. But that does not mean it's right to say Brazil is a shithole.
The funny thing is that the U.S actually helped the Coup that put the military dictatorship here in Brazil in 1964 (that lasted untill the 80's). Maybe if your goverment (US) did not do that, we would be in much better social conditions by now (of couse that was not the only reason for our problems, but it sure as hell did not help us).

The reason we are all speaking english is because Great Britain used to be one of the largest nations on the planet and had colonies all over the world. And the language spread over time and became the most popular worldwide due to the ease of learning. And it's accepted to be the main language of the world, even though there are more chinese/spanish speakers. If you know english, chances are you can travel all over the globe and not be totally lost.

Brazil may be having issues economically and politically, but their quality of women is unmatched. It's still a beautiful country that's just at a low point right now, but still they are not in as much trouble as Mexico at least.

I must say, ive been to Brasil and i had a wonderful time. There are terrible people in this world. The USA has its fair share of problems. The incident in London last month demonstrates that these problems are not isolated to developing countries, although that is a relative term. Brasil is booming and is a paradise, many people live very well, although it comes at a price to the environment.

what's so notable about that?

the germans created the structure. the french added half the words. the english established the colonies. the french were the military lever to set them free. the english empire laid the groundwork of english presence all around the world. america was the final necessary element to recently push the english language in to the #1 slot.

In the end it boils down to the lowest common denominator. Spoken native languages in countries in the first world:

UK: 63 mln
US: 317 mln

Total population with an English mother tongue: 409.5 mln

France: 63 mln

So its not totally mind boggling to me that a ref stabs a player after being attacked by a player. What has me confused and puzzled? How does a ref get captured, beat, stoned and eventually decapitated without any police intervention whatsoever. You can run onto the Phillies field but for so long until you end up tasered by a cop and thousands laugh and even more as footage of it hits the tv/net. I just cant see how a mob of people get away with all that they did before anyone tried to intervene.

I agree with your sentiments about USA being involved with Brazil when they shouldn't be. I hope to visit Brazil next summer but I hear it's like almost guaranteed to get robbed there if you go.

OMG. In a basketball game in the US, some player killed the other with a table leag. What a violent shithole.

Imagine if at the Brazil against Spain game in the Confederations Cup Final, Neymar stabbed Iniesta in the heart with a table leg...

Uh, not really sure what you're trying to say here. It's more acceptable when a psychopath dismembers somebody?

If you read about the whole story, the referee, just a poor kid of 20, got into a fight with a player after he ejected him from the game. The fight led to the kid stabbing the player fatally. It's reported that the family then rushed to the field and stoned the kid, quartered him by removing all extremities, and then stuck his head on a spike in midfield.

Where in the hell have you heard of a story like that in the United States?

You want an accurate representation of what the countries have to offer go to them, or at the very least join social sites that allow you to search. You can check out what the real women from all of these countries look like on Tagged, and Chile/Peru are nowhere near Brazil.

Using twitter models as the basis of your argument is hilarious, if you think the average woman in Venezuela looks like that you're in for a surprise.

Brazil is dangerous, sure, but then again, what country isn't? Any nation is capable of being a violent and dangerous place. Hell, Brazil isn't even the most violent and/or dangerous country on the South American continent (per capita). Brazil doesn't even rank among the world's "Top 10" most dangerous "shitholes" as you described it.

Brazil is and has been a highly "developing" nation for quite sometime now. It's very common for developing nations to have a higher crime rate compared to nations that fall into the "developed" category.

Just cause? He humped the girl, she complained and he slapped her in the face. She called her boyfriend and friends. They started to fight the two MMA fighters. They (the regular dudes) were obviously getting their ass kicked and one guy clubbed both fighters (honestly, what should you do if an UFC figher is attacking you?). definitely not the spirit of MMA or martial arts.

what with that, the silva antics and gracie getting mauled, brasilian MMA has not looked real good the past couple days. :(

Come on man, this is the lamest excuse ever. There are two types of people:
-those who cheat
-those who cant

Wow, you really like to spend time on writing about me.

And no, if you like a female you don't act like a jackass. You are probably too used with how men treated your ***-loving mother..

I agree. Too many people scared about stupid shit the media spews.

Like everyone's scared to come to America because they think they're going to get shot (millwad).

Either you have problems reading or you're trying to belittle me.
You fail, there's a difference to mention that it's a scaring thought that so many civilians carry guns and to actually be afraid of getting shot just because you're in the US.

The video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_y859xp0vac

The thing is two cowards punched and kicked Maiquel's friend while he was already unconscious. That was the criminal act.

This Maiquel guy is a notorious thug. No one likes him. He already faced
charges because he hit his wife.

Again, let's not pretend street fights for stupid reasons don't happen everywhere.

why did he not dodge the bat , just stood there and let it hit him........

Not sure if true, but if it is, he really deserved to get his ass whopped what a prick.

That dude who was getting the ground and pound and randy orton kick is 100% dead. No chance in hell he survived that man...
