And just like that:

Unfortunately for NBA fans, the Orlando summer league isn't open to the public.

Why is that? Seems an unexplainable decision to me. They don't have gyms big enough to put a camera crew in? NBA now started to classify as if it's US government. Why would you do that to a public enterntainment product?

Also, Dante & Galante used to be so much fun to listen to... The whole Summerleague used to have a certain relaxing vibe to it. Now what

I think most of the Summer League games in Orlando & Las Vegas will be on NBA TV, the rest will be available on NBA.com's Summer League Pass which was $4.99 last year (you could watch the NBA TV games on that too if you don't get NBA TV).

I'm really considering making the trip out to Vegas for the final two days of the Summer League.

And the Orlando Summer League is dumb, if your going to have a summer league put it in a location where fans can get up close and personal to players at a fairly cheap price.

It simply isnt a requirement by the league but its a good way to get some early experience for your younger guys over the summer.

Buy Nba TV live. It's 4.99$/month and from what I've looked they show every summer league game.

MCW has 6 turnovers, Sixers have 12 total. Sixers shooting terrible.

I didnt see first half just stats. Watching/waiting for 2nd half now.

Summer league is such semi pro ball its not even funny. Like watching people hoop Sunday morning at a gym, playground.

Great start to the 3rd quarter for MCW....looking more comfortable offensively.

Just needs to tighten up his handle a bit and cut down on the TOs and he should be pretty good.

Yeah I was coming in to say he scored 3 straight possessions. Two attacking and finished at rim and one good defensive play (steal) plus finish. BUT the next play he tried to shoot off the dribble and got snuffed. :oldlol:

Yeah something about his handles but I give him props so far 2nd half. :applause:

Oladipo starting to look terrible out there.

He's playing out of position so there's going to be a learning curve there if they're going to continue with the PG experiment.

Other than his raw PG skills at this point (which isn't surprising at all), he's been solid all around.

that's bad, he did do a great job at the FT line and getting assists.

8 assists 7 rebounds to go with 27 points.

He shot bad and didnt do a good job with the rock. But there is a thing called perspective. MCW isnt a shooter so no shocker he wasnt successful in his first game as a pro. He doesnt take those 6 3pters and he is 8-17. 9 turnovers isnt good. Must improve that. Did a good job second half of the game, first half I missed but he had 6 turnovers.

Bottomline I dont see how he played bad. He was solid overall. Cant magnify the bad and overlook the good. He set up teammates for easy buckets, crashed the glass and was aggressive to the basket. Used his size.

He needs to work on his jumper as well as shooting off the dribble asap. Not saying he played great, far from that. But to say he played bad and highlight an area of his game that was a weaknesss entering the NBA? Eh

MCW didnt impresss me coming out of college so I'm leary on the pick. Just think what I saw 2nd half I cant label his performance bad.

It's summer league. I would pay more attention to pace, feel, ability to knock down open jumpers/form, etc. The rest probably won't translate much to a real NBA game. I mean, aren't Bayless or Belli the summer league GOATS?

Burke looks like garbage, tho. Will he ever make another shot?

Trey Burke looked a little rough in his first game. 1-11 or something like that but made good plays down the stretch when needed. I think he'll translate into a pretty good PG once he gets acclimated to the NBA speed.

The new point system is weird btw.

And Donte Green! The dude had a highlight dunk in just about ever game.. or he put up a lot of points. He never got much PT in Sacremento tho smh.

too bad gobert has shit offensive skills.

Looks like a good fit for Utah. He moves without the ball, sets screens and hits the offensive glass. Better than Eaton, Tag and Collins already!

Gobert, Burks, and Clark have been the best players on the court, and Burks got hurt in the 2nd quarters

Burks was one of the best in it last year and has been a part time rotation player the past two years for a decent team. He should dominate.

Burke looked better at the end of the game.

Yeah, but to be fair, by just making it out to the court for the opening tip and not falling down, you don't have to do too do much else to look better than Perkins.

Oh, and OKC's 2nd round pick from Arizona has outplayed Indiana's 1st round pick from Arizona.

Not that it means anything, because it doesn't, but that along with Dwight Buycks being the best player on the floor are the kinds of things that can happen in Summer League games.

Yeah, and he might make an NBA roster, so that talk may have been a little bit premature. But, as of now, he's not on an NBA roster and spent last season in the D-League. Maybe, if he keeps playing like this all week, someone will pick him up.

But it's the Summer League, and things like a no-name D-Leaguer being a game's MVP happen from time to time.

Well, I'm guessing the reason the decided not to bring back Hansbrough is because they signed Copeland and are ready to give Plumlee a shot at being in the rotation.

Yep. Took until his senior year until he truly flourished and was utilized correctly. Highly touted big men go to Duke and get turned into screen setters and rebounders.

What I've seen so far

OKC vs. IND

Miles Plumlee and Daniel Orton played great, especially defensively. Plumlee had 6 blocks.

Jeremy Lamb looked great and Grant Jerrett doing what he got drafted for, shooting the 3. I think he went 5/6. Defensively bad though.

Steven Adams is gonna take a few years at least.

DET vs. BRK

Drummond should NOT be playing in summer league. He's a beast.

Tony Mitchell is trying to shit on everyone and playing well.

Kris Middleton shooting well.

Basically Detroit has a bunch of nice young players but we'll see how they develope.

Drummond should stop trying to do many finesse moves in his post game. He should be doing power movesIt'd be nice if he had any moves, period. EricGordon23's right though, it seemed the gameplan was to force him to catch with his back to the basket and operate so as to work on the weakest portions of his game. He almost had more touches in the post tonight than he did all of last year.

Maybe I'm pessimistic, but I still wonder if there's any chance of him becoming a good back to the basket guy, just because he's so terrible as it stands right now. It doesn't feel like rawness in that regard either. It just feels like... inability.

Drummond reminds me of Big Ben, but with less free throw shooting ability.I was just thinking that today. Strangely, that comparison never struck me last year. Today though, at least for a moment, I concluded I'd be fine if his offense never improves if he could just be a Ben Wallace type (grabbing every board in sight, scaring the bejesus out of all those who enter the paint).
