Wow, lotta Knicks brawls!

In all honesty, the Knicks/Suns brawl of 93 should probably be no. 2 on the list, coaching staff all in and pretty widespread chaos. Well worth the watch for anyone who cares to.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTYQSYzf5Mk

Fun fact: This fight led to the changing of rules by the NBA in relation to fights. Any player who leaves the bench during the melee would face suspension.

This video starts off innocent enough with some trash talking and bumping between KJ and Doc Rivers but at the 4 minute mark all hell breaks loose! Suits are torn, benches are cleared and punches are thrown, including a sucker punch to KJ by Greg Anthony who ran onto the court in street clothes.

The best part of this story is that only $160k in fines, 21 total, were given out and that was the biggest amount in NBA history up to that point. KJ and Rivers were suspended for 2 games and Greg Anthony was suspended for the rest of the season (just a few weeks left). The 14 players that left the bench had to pay whopping $500 each.

This brawl would force Stern and the NBA to make some stricter rule changes about fighting.

Any player who throws a punch now immediately ejected from the game, suspended for at least one game, and fined an appropriate dollar amount. Any player throwing a punch that connects with another player will be ejected from the game, suspended for a minimum of one to five games, and fined an appropriate dollar amount.

It was like some X-Men type shit with the Knicks of the present fighting the Knicks from the future

It's not his fault that your team has an obsession with acquiring the Scum Bags of the NBA.
Spreewell, Robinson, Marbury, Curry, Z-Bo, Melo, JR, the list goes on and on.

1. JVG had more balls than anyone.

And people wonder why the Knicks are so polarizing?

Youve got soft guys who are against physicality and you have other fans who love the grittiness and heart shown by these NY warriors

Knicks were the toughest team in the league for years. A bunch of bonafide bully's ready to take your star players lunch money

with the exception of the detroit-indiana brawl where things could have easily gone way uglier since the crowd got involved, the other ones are not that serious.soccer brawls have many times ended with people ending dead in the crowd after violence escalated from the pitch to the stands

It's hilarious the announcers panic over these fights as if they are gonna be fired. These fights only increase interest in the NBA and increasing ratings. They are historic moments that should be cherished. A team wins a ring every season, but almost never do we get the privileged to see a Pacers-Pistons type brawl.

Thank you Ron Artest and Ben Wallace.

This video shows that Melo is a worthless little b* tch. Who throws a guy to the floor and then runs away so security can save him? Running away from 5'8 Nate Robinson too! Disgusting.

Yeah, and Jordan dominated in that era.

Please imagine for a second LeBron or Kobe playing against those Knicks...

I think it's more so that the viewers are pussified more than the league... If the fans weren't complaining about the violence and agressision the rules wouldnt have changed
