yeah I know it's just summer league, but man...he did look pretty bad. Shot form is good, but most were short or off. Still showed great athleticism. Some questionable choices in his drives and defensive awareness. Based on that 1 game alone, I say he gets destroyed as a starter, would serve him best to come off the bench and play vs 2nd team units for 20 mins.

c). DMC during 3 games of his summer league shot a combined 9/44 including 1/12 and he turned into a fine pro.
d). Kings still got the most talented player in the draft and he has a game that will translate to the NBA level.

yeah, his technique is there. Just struggled today. As Reggie and Kerr pointed out, as long as he can still help the team when he struggles, he'll be ok (i.e. become great defender, create plays for teammates, hustle for boards/loose balls, etc) and as long as he doesn't keep chucking on his off-nights... Unless they're high % shots. He took some pretty bad shots today.

yeah, his technique is there. Just struggled today. As Reggie and Kerr pointed out, as long as he can still help the team when he struggles, he'll be ok (i.e. become great defender, create plays for teammates, hustle for boards/loose balls, etc).
He will help the team cause he's a system player not a guy who can create for himself atm which is what the Summer League favors, just his shooting, size and athletic ability alone with nothing else will help the Kings.

I'm sure McLemore will have some shooting nights but that first game imo is a microcosm of what's to come. When his shot isn't falling he becomes a huge liability on the other end. Which is of course, one of the reasons why so many teams passed on him.
