I think this guy is the real deal, and his potential is through the roof. He has the athleticism, the length, and a very nice jumper already. Once he improves his bball IQ, and really learns to play the game of basketball... sky is the limit.

He has all the tools to be a good professional. He reminds me a lot of Derozan, with a better jumper. I'd like to see him become more aggressive, but he's still young and needs time to develop.

Probably in the minority but I don't see him being much more than a 8th-9th man off the bench.

I kinda agree.

He can't dribble at all. Even worse than Derozan at this. While he's barely played in the NBA, he's also 22 so he's not some very raw 19 or 20 year old which limits his ceiling relative to other players in that draft class.

A realistic comparison for Ross I see is Nick Young. An ok SG off the bench who can have a great shooting game every now and then but does nothing else. Doesn't get to the line enough to be a consistent threat on offense.

But at the same time you need to realize there is a lot of improvement that can be done to the game with the help of nba professionals compared to the NCAA professionals. I just feel that he is just raw and can still be a Kevin Martin type player.

I think Ross can be a D + 3 specialist (with the ability to do some other nice things, like back door cuts, etc.) which is very valuable in todays NBA.

It will always suck that we passed on Drummond for him, but that isn't his fault.

The way I see it is that the best he will be is a good sixth man in the league.

I think Ross is a reminder of how good NBA players are and that almost all of them can get numbers if in the right situation. Ross would average 18 a game on the Bobcats, but he'd barely play on the Pacers. The Raptors are a weird team in that they have guys producing like they would on a bad team but we have an ok record mostly due to the quality of the eastern conference.
