One of the greatest scoring feats in NBA history vs the soon to be Western Conference Champs. Yawl seen what Wade did to the Mavs, imagine what Kobe would have done if he seen these guys in the WCF that year!

When I was watching this game I was in complete aww! No other NBA player has reached the excitement level of One Kobe Bryant.

I doubt we will ever see a player do sh!t like this untill Andrew Wiggins enters his prime.

Ladies and gentlemen I give you Kobe God Bryant.:applause:

I slightly agree, but no matter how bad a team is, they are still an NBA team with NBA players. Thus scoring 81 f*cking points is impressive no matter how you look at it. You would have to be a blatant hater to say scoring 81pts in an NBA game isn't impressive.

I don't really think so.

Lakers were down 18 against the Raptors.

That made it truly special (regardless of the opponent).

He would've scored more than 81 if he played the 4th in that game.......then the 81 point game later wouldn't have been as big a deal.....crazy!!!!

Wow..So LeBron has a subpar offensive series vs Spurs, but ends up with 25-11-7 which leads yawl and myself to say "solid" well rounded series....Yet Kobe has a subpar offensive game, but ends up with 23pts and 15reb including 10pts in a close 4th quarter (more than any other player on the floor in that quarter) and its a bad all round game?

Nice logic. Couldn't expect more from a moronic Bron stan.

20 50 point games
3 60 point games

And he raised his game in the playoffs with averages of 35.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 6.6 apg, 50.9 FG%, 59.2 TS% over those 4 seasons. In just those 46 playoff games he dropped 40 17 times and had 3 50 point games. This includes 2 conference finals appearances as well making it to game 6 in '89 and game 7 in '90, both vs the champion Pistons who won 59 and 63 games, respectively.

Just another incredible game over the greatest scoring stretch in history:

2005-2007:
34 PPG/6 RPG/5 APG/2 APG/27 PER/115 ORTG/57% TS
45 40+ pt games
18 50+ pt games
5 60+ pt games
4 different months averaging 40+ PPG

And 10 50+ pt games in one season.

Wade has 2 in a decade.

Defense was better in the 00's.
Look, the scoring tear Kobe went on in that 3-year stretch was amazing. It may actually be better than Jordan's. But it's not a coincidence it coincided with the rule changes. One of those years, didn't Iverson average 33 or 34 PPG?

I just wanted to throw Jordan's best 3-year stretch out there. And ShaqAttack pointed it out, but if I included his 1989-1990 season (which may have been Jordan's best peak season, Pippen and Grant just weren't quite there yet to give him the team success/ring) it would've been an insane 4-year stretch for Jordan.

Difference in Jordan's 4 year stretch and Kobe's 3 year stretch is team success but, of course, Kobe's supporting cast wasn't anything to write home about. Jordan's wasn't as great as some people make it out to be when he was on an incredible scoring spree, but at least he had a young Pippen and Grant developing and getting better every year. And, like ShaqAttack pointed out, two of those 4 seasons, Jordan and the Bulls won 50 and 55 games, and made the ECF two years in a row, while giving the Pistons more problem than anyone else they faced in the playoffs.

I'm not the biggest kobe fan, infact I dislike him but wow. That 1 on 5 where he went full court was holly kazoom. One thing that standsout is how much slower he is these days but I guess turning 35 does that to you.

You know... I understand the strategy behind repeating the notion that Bryant doesn't have any memorable playoff games or moments. It's one of those things that could possibly stick over time through repetition and become a statement accepted by a majority of people, whether true or not. The problem is that there is major push back right now that shows that statement to be false. People are posting videos and the like.

It is probably best to drop the campaign for now and then take it up again when people aren't really paying attention.

Gives me chills. The only player in history who could go off like that on any given night.

Truly a joy to watch.

You miss that guy who played in Chicago during the 80s and 90s?

Kobe 62pts in 3 quarters against Mavs that made the finals that year and should've been the champ if only Stern didnt rigged the finals was better than all LeBron games combined..

Great scoring performance, was a fun game to watch.

But that link of the playoffs is an absolute joke. 15/4/6 is the 11th most memorable playoff game? Because it rebukes that he's selfish as he only took 11 shots?

:facepalm

Kobe 2006 season is arguably the best season of all time for a perimeter player and he accomplished it in the toughest/best defensive era of all time..

Kobe is no doubt top 5 GOAT player at worst..

Kobe's most memorable playoff moment is "the Brick Game" aka the worst Finals G7 played by a superstar ever.

Mj 37 ppg and the next player was 29 ppg:applause: In 06 when the rule changes and refs going happy. Kobe could only manage to score 2 more ppg then 6'1 Allen Iverson:lol none of what u posted means anything

Yet, you post about Kobe 24/7? But since he's not trolling like you (posting dumb sh!t, then wen the facts show otherwise doesn't respond), you assume him not to be a Celtics fan? Smh..

I miss him too, yeah.

But he never had scoring bursts like Kobe. Never. Never had 62 points in 3 quarters of play, outscoring an entire Championship caliber team on his own. Never scored 81. And don't even try to tell me he didn't "want" to. He wanted to murder everyone, especially early in his career.

Surprise surprise. You're in a Kobe Bryant thread. You post more about Bryant than almost anyone else on ISH. In fact, I don't see you in threads that aren't related to LeBron, the Heat, or Bryant. I can't begin to imagine what your post count would be if we weren't deleting so much of the Kobe/LeBron foolishness we see on a daily basis. It's like you have some sort of weird fetish. :confusedshrug:

Shaq held Kobe back scoring wise big time. I remember the game in 2002 when he scored 56 in 3 quarters against Memphis. I remember Shaq was out and I was like, this should be fun. Bam. 56 in 3 quarters.
So stupid Kobe doesn't have a 70 point game. He was on pace for it so many times. Without Shaq, he'd likely have like 10 career 70 point games.

The reality is, Kobe should've had his own team since he was 21. Season 00/01. He was more than ready. I think Kobe became the lakers #1 in 2003 but it was still a Shaq centric triangle at that point. Only when Phil came back the second time, he had Kobe as a centerpiece of the offense.

But no regrets I guess. Kobe's great as it is. Fel he could've been even more, perhaps much more butit worked out in the end and it's all that matters.
