View Full Version : Nets Will Rape The Heat In The Playoffs This Year

Their team is far superior and will rely more heavily on teamwork. While the Heat basically only rely on LeBron James to do everything and Wade and Bosh willl fall off even farther this year. The Nets will easily sweep the HEat when they meet in the Eastern Conference Finals.

I know that Heat have no answer for KG and Lopez down low.

I know that Nets have the clearcut best PG.

I know that Pierce and AK help nullify the advantage of having Lebron at SF.

And the bench comparison is a joke, the Nets win that in a landslide.

Only reason I pause at saying the Nets are favourites to beat the Heat, is the coach is a rookie and the team has some old players.

I tend to agree w/ you more so than not but to exclude Brook Lopez a young all-star and offensive stud is unfair to the nets, and center the Celtics never had while they had the big 3.

On paper, nets = poor version of last year s Lakers

On court, we cant tell how things will play out. Impossible to tell. Some will try to convince themselves that they will be elite. Holly shit, you're right. KG and Lopez are rebounding machines, Evans is the fastest PF, he can defend Lebron and Blatche, holly shit, he had 2 double double games in a row when they played the Bobcats in 2k13, so it must be pretty accurate. Miller is gone now so the Heat cant score or defend anymore, they're ****ed.

Nobody can deny that they look great on paper but they have to prove themselves on the court(e.g lakers this year). On the other hand the heat are back to back champions and given the fact that their stars are still in their prime and they will keep their core players i just don't see how any team will "rape" them. Can the nets beat them? i would say yes but it would take at least six games,so technically this is not a rape

I knew from the very first game that the 2012 Lakers wouldn't live up to the hype. Let's watch the Nets play a game before we crown them. I've seen too many teams that acquire star players in the twilight of their careers and think they're going to run roughshod on the league.

They should mesh somewhat quickly and play well together (I don't see one player who would be upset about having to sacrifice his stats) but that doesn't mean they will be able to stay healthy, and even then it might not be enough to beat the other elite teams in the East.

VCDrivesAPorscheToWork

If Bosh continues to be a 14/5 player, Wade a 15PPG player on sub 40% shooting... and without a bench upgrade for size...

then a cold streak by Battier or Chalmers will doom the Heat regardless of Bulls, Knicks, Pacers, Nets.

If you sincerely believe this, place whatever money you can afford to on the Nets winning the East, and post confirmation of your bet (with your info blocked out).

Stop making asinine claims, it's embarrassing to see a Lakers fan spew that kind of garbage. At least make the same claim about Indiana, or a healthy Bulls squad. Nets are probably next in line after those two and the Heat, but I just don't see it happening.

Nets have to figure their roles out first. Brooklyn looks great on paper and I believe we'll be in the ECF against the Heat. However, lets not get carried away and act like age can't get the best of Garnett and Pierce or that Kidd might just stink it up as a coach. There is a lot of new things going on for us in Brooklyn. We can either tank or flourish. Only time will tell.

Deron is gonna be a top 5 PG if his team stays healthy. You can't really be a top 5 PG when your team is trash. The only player on that team who did work on O was Brook Lopez.

Seriously, it's gotta be the worst thing to be a star PG and be passing to guys who just keep missing. Then you get labeled bad and get labeled a "shoot first PG."

That's how Deron can go through a game and get like 4 assists. Not because he's not passing, but because his team is shooting like 33%. I seriously doubt the Nets will suck this year. A lot of the time, you can say something works "on paper", but the Nets now have nearly every area of offense taken care of. how will they be on D, rebounding? Average to above average, hopefully. But unless dudes start missing shots every time again. I'd even say JJ might start making shots because he won't have to be the first option.

Nets are soft and play with no heart. They're looking to get it from a geriatric Pierce and KG? Good luck with that.

Nets look better on paper. Lakers showed exactly how useful that was last season.

A lineup of Dwill, JJ, Pierce, KG, and Lopez wouldn't last long against a small Heat lineup with Lebron at the 4. The Nets would get run ragged because this lineup can't punish Miami on the glass.
