1) He's holding it like that so as to keep it somewhat far away from his head and torso, but not in such a way as to needlessly raise suspicion (like, say, holding it at extended arm's length). It could be he was nervous about holding a bag of explosives right next to his spine (although, at the marginally increased range attained by holding the bag in any position, this is probably a reassurance of negligible efficacy).

2) Holding it like that, assuming it contains a homemade bomb contained in a pressure cooker, seems impractical. I would assume something like that would be relatively heavy, and thus wearing the bag on his back or in some other fashion would be more comfortable. So perhaps that's an argument for there being nothing sinister in the bag. Or at least nothing sinister and heavy.

The man you guys are discussing was identified, interviewed and released by the police, he's a local, won't say homeless but he's a fairly well known character in that part of town from what I remember.

For me it's not as much about conspiracy as it is about how truthful the government and our law enforcers are. Like with Christopher Dorner, cops shot up a truck with 2 asian ladies because it vaguely resembled his car, it was a miracle no one was killed. And when bad things happen, it's not necessarily a grand scheme with multifactorial elements to it. Most likely, when bad things happen, they happen because of the actions of a few radically thinking individuals. But conspiracy theorists take solace in believing in conspiracies because it gives you an out, it gives you the ability to say that a greater power controls things like a puppet master and they're the cause for why you can't rise to greatness in your own life.

This is why you and Dude77 are wrong, because despite the fact that I have stated the contrary, you still fall back on this strawman argument that I am some walking drone unable to think anything other than what the media feeds me.

What you don't understand is that this 'underground media' the one with the truthers and conspiracy theorists who claim they know the real deal is every bit the business enterprise the MSM is.
