well hes going to lose. Monty is the worst coach in the NBA hands down.
Nobody comes close to his suckiness. Shit I'd even consider Del Negro 100x the coach Monty is.
Monty had some of the best young talent in the league and couldnt win shit.
Gordon- played all 82 games and averaged 16/8 on 58%
Greivis- played 78 games averaged 14/12 on 45%
Davis- Played all 82 games averaged 22/13/4 on 65%
I mean its pathetic that Monty only won 12 games.
Davis averaged 22/13/4? That's amazing. And I'm pretty sure he didn't play 82 games

been watching the Real Training Camp on NBA TV and one person who has been surprisingly aggressive is Klay Thompson. I really hope he plays well, I really like his style of play for the international game. Lillard has been really sharp too, seems to have a positive effect on every team he played with during the scrimmages. Anthony Davis has been pretty good too, Jerry Colangelo was raving about how much better he's gotten since the season ended in his interview with David Aldridge.
Anyways, I think the White team will take it. More athletic front court and great speed in the backcourt. Blue team will stretch the floor way better but I think White takes it if they really try to push the ball and pressure Blue's ball handlers.

I think he should, but he won't. He stretches the floor way better than Wall but there were times that Wall made a play that I was genuinely in awe. He is by far the most athletic PG in the camp, and considering the speed of the White team's backcourt, he would definitely be a great asset for them defensively...if he wants to that is.

I have a buddy that's been there for every practice and he pretty much said exactly this. He said that Lillards been shooting well and when I asked him about Wall he said that the kid is lookin like an athletic freak and making a number of spectacular plays a day.

Not hard to imagine Lillard making a jump during his first off-season. Also, it is possible to have Lillard fit in the line-up better due to differing abilities and chemistry with other players. Lillard is also a better shooter, which is very important in international play.

Kyrie was much better than everyone else. He was so and it looked like he was going at 60%... Davis was the clear #2.
Monroe, Barnes, Conley, Lawson, Lillard, Wall, and Faried had their moments. I think Monroe or Lawson were the most consistently good throughout the game of that group.
The rest were about what you would except, except I thought Derozan, George, Waiters, Cousins, Holiday, Anderson, Favors, and Drummond were bad and/or disappointing.
Holiday was solid. he wasnt disappointing at all. He gives a lot of flexibility inserted at the 2 guard spot.

For everyone who thought Lillard looked good, I'd really like to know what game they were watching. He got off to a fast start, but after that he looked pretty awful. He couldn't get into the offense, he was primarily looking for his own offense (including taking at least two just baffling 25/26 foot three point shots), and part of the reason Irving popped off the way he did was because Lillard was offering about as little resistance on the defensive end as you're ever going to see (Irving is a great scorer but he was getting into the lane without putting forth much effort, although he did pull out some nice hesitation dribbles).
Other thoughts: Davis' jump shot looked nice but he looked kind of lazy all around on the defensive end. In fact, the blue team's first unit looked real bad on defense, especially in transition. And Thibs units were kind of strange as he was kind leaning a little hard on small line-ups that were ineffective, couldn't see why Barnes and Wall didn't play more.

That's a shame :( I was expecting more from him.
mm he looked like he didn't want to shoot after a really flat air ball.

been watching the Real Training Camp on NBA TV and one person who has been surprisingly aggressive is Klay Thompson.
Blue team will stretch the floor way better but I think White takes it if they really try to push the ball and pressure Blue's ball handlers.
but seriously, Blue's defense was horrendous. They were getting beat down the floor off of free throws. That's pretty damn pathetic.

Kyrie Irving scored 23 points with three boards, seven assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 27 minutes in the Team USA Showcase on Thursday.
He looked like a superstar and he's one of the most deadly players with his dribbling skills. Kyrie has been hamstrung by injuries to limit his true potential, but he's just 21 years old and we probably haven't seen the best out of him year

Harrison Barnes looked great in Thursday's Team USA Showcase, scoring 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting to go with three boards, three steals and two 3-pointers.
He put Ryan Anderson on a poster with a one-handed jam and showed a lot of promise in just 17 minutes of action.

Lillard: 9 points (7 in first quarter) on 4-14 shooting
Irving: 23 points 7 assists
Davis: 22 points and 7 rebounds on 10-13 shooting
Holiday: 12 points, 5 assists, 7 rebounds
DJ: 10 points and 9 rebounds
Barnes: 18 points on 6-11 shooting and 3 rebounds

Who do you think they are? Couldn't watch the game.
These are the guys I would choose to mix with the current US team;
Kyrie Irving
Anthony Davis
Greg Monroe
DeMarcus Cousins
Klay Thompson
Harrison Barnes
I also like how Conley's skillset transitions to the FIBA game.

Damn seriously disappointed in Cousins from what I have heard/read from other Kings fans (can't find a link to d/l the game anywhere), seemed like more of the same old where he just stop caring on defense in particular........First McLemore struggling in SL now this :facepalm hopefully it sorts itself out before the season starts.

Yeah he did but I was expecting a bit more tbh considering at many points during the year he was listed as #1,he only really played 3-4 good quarters out of a possible 20. Imo if Thornton stays he will end up playing the majority of the mins @SG.

Anthony Davis looked like a superstar out there.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm0biGorFJk just watch that block/coast to coast starting at 0:40. How many players his size can do that in the league? In fact, how many players his size have EVER been able to do that looking so fluid? The list is very short. To think he was compared to Tyson Chandler...
Add to that the defense, rebounding, perfect jump shooting form, and ability to catch any pass over anyone to finish with a quick alley oop... All he needs is a go-to post move and he could become the best PF in the league. And since he already has a good jumpshot, it's not a stretch to imagine he'll develop a KG like fadeaway he can count on night in, night out. It would be relatively easy for him.

Last time around he was criticized for playing too hard and too physically so it may be related to that. It seemed last time around like they wanted to treat the whole thing sort of like an all star game.

He was the consensus number one pick for a reason. He's the complete package. People are quick to dismiss him because he's slight of frame but his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor is rare. His feel for the game on the offensive end of the floor is often overlooked.

If Davis can knock down that jumper consistently, which he probably will, he could be looking at 20/10 as early as this year. He's going to be a beast.

Recovering from his tendinitis.
Leonard with international rules (hand check, more physical off-ball defense) would be an absolute monster on defense.

I'm not sure why people are acting surprised that AD is a beast. The guy was one of the best first year collegiate prospects I've seen in the last decade. What impresses me most is his ball handling skills and agility for a big man. There was one moment last night where he outran everyone on the break and looked as smooth as silk doing so.
When you have a guy that athletic... potentially elite shotblocker, great rebounder on both ends, can knock down the midrange jumper so soon in his career...
He's got superstar written all over him. I thought Davis and Kyrie were quite clearly the two best players on the floor last night. They looked like they were a level above the other really good players in that game.

Leonard with any rules is a beast defensively, but yeah... Especially if he's allowed hand check. The guy's hands are like vicegrips. There haven't been too many players in my 30+ years watching the NBA that I've enjoyed watching play defense more than Kawhi.
Btw, as a Cavs fan, I liked some of what I saw out of Tyler Zeller in the second half. He was moving well and showed nice touch around the basket. It looked like he and Kyrie have developed a nice relationship on the floor.

a lot of guys can shoot it as well as davis does, but few every develop a fadeaway like the one kg has.
i dont think its a given.
lebron spent about 5 years trying to add a go-to post move. dwight has spent his whole career trying to get some simple fluid post moves.
its not easy.
id agree with everything else in your post though. the sky is the limit for davis.

AD's shooting form is going to make it hard to come up with a fade away even close to KGs.
