I have a feeling this one might sneak up on people as no one is expecting that much. Reading some of those reviews, it sounds very promising.

Seems very clear that at worst it is a huge improvement over the first Wolverine flick, I know that isn't saying much but at least we know it isn't complete Crap.

It's supposed to be based on the Japan Saga, which would be hard to mess up. Very good story arc.

Going to see it tonight, hope it turns out at least decent.

I'm still gonna watch it.

Wolvie is my favorite super hero.

I heard he lost his healing powers instead of the metal

Haven't seen it, no basis other than Jackman's prior work in the genre, but I'd put solid money on it being shit. Cash the check Hugh Jackman, but until Marvel takes the kid gloves off their stand alone franchises are going to keep being shit. They lucked into Robert Downey being the perfect Tony Stark, everything else is popcorn shit. Not good shit, just hey we have a big budget so let's go crazy on CGI.

The Marvel movies are shitty, I don't know why people love them. They're the modern template of "play some shit in the background while I check out reddit."

The Avengers movies and the Wolverine movies are completely different studios, etc. Marvel licensed out Wolverine, the other stuff is in house.

And the Avengers stuff makes shitloads of money, i get you don't like it and most of it i don't (and i liked Avengers, everything else i don't, Iron Man, Thor, etc.) but we are in the minority so i can't imagine them changing it nor would i if i was them.

explain because after this newest wolverine movie, it shows a teaser for the next x-men.

also, any chance we see some xmen in avengers movies in the future?

I loved it too. I mean granted I'm biased because I'm a huge Wolverine/X-Men fan and enjoy pretty much anything associated with them, but everyone I went with enjoyed it too.

The only part that was just a bit too much for my liking was the fight on top of the train. The huge fight during the funeral was amazing though. probably my favorite superhero movie fight scene I've ever seen

I really liked it. When I saw the first trailer I thought it was going to suck. After I watched a behind the scenes video I decided to give it a try. Overall a good movie.

Yeah if they cut out the fight on top of the train the movie would've been better off. I don't want to say the fights were based on "realistic" combat since it is a superhero movie, but it was for the most part up close hand-to-hand combat that made the fight scenes that much better.

It was easily the best XMEN related film so far. Not that that's saying much, since every other XMEN related film has been a total piece of shit.

Movie was good, don't see a problem at all w the train fight scene, thought it was relevant to the story/ action sequence etc.

The fight scenes were very well done but I'm a lil more partial to The Punisher vs The Russian than the funeral scene although it's a one on one vs gang fight comparison basically but both were epic.

I wasn't let down at all as I went in w zero expectations (kinda how I did w Iron Man) and I was pleasantly surprised considering this wasn't a must watch movie for me, just decided to go last second and it was worth it.

Some are good, some are garbage. Iron Man 1 and Xmen first class were good. Also Thor and Captain America were alright. I hated Avengers and Iron man 2/3. I have no idea why they are so popular since they were such crummy films.

But Xmen first class was the best comic movie ever imo and one of the best movies ever.

Just curious, what are this forums policy on posting links that may or may not have a direct link to watching this movie online? I may or may not be able to supply a link to those who may or may not want to watch this...for free. Obviously I may not want to get in trouble with Jeff... so that's why I asked....hypothetically.

Just separate the link with (dot) stuff, Jeff doesn't care about links as long as you don't directly post porn pics or something.

movie-forumz(dot)tv/forumdisplay.php?f=275 is definitely not a forum I use all the time. It is definitely free, you definitely cannot get busted for using it. You definitely need to register though. For those who don't want to register, this definitely is not a link to a certain movie. http://www(dot)putlocker(dot)com/file/EBCDEC920AC1A81E you may or may not get a few other popups with this link, just ignore them and hit the click to play button, right of mid center. Ignore any popups that might ask you to update your video players, most likely they are just spam.

Hope I don't get in trouble.

Just saw this movie...thought it was "good" but not "great" and that sucks but this whole story and setting had the potential to be "amazing" in a movie, esp if rated-R. It was dark and gritty and the shaky cam gave it a nice feel and I usually hate shaky cam too.

I would say that the first half of the movie was "GREAT" up until after the "love hotel"...I was completely captivated and interested in him protecting this girl...after that though it started to fall apart I think.

there are way too many one-liners...:facepalm

"What kind of a creature are you!?"
"I'm The Wolverine!"

"Wolverine how about you stay here with me?, I am the most powerful person in Japan!"
"Sorry, I'm a soldier princess..."

:facepalm

omg that was cringe worthy...why do they insist on cheezing shit up with lines like that? They go out of there way to give this movie a realistic feel and then ruin it all with some shit that could be in an 80s Arnold Schwarzenegger movie...I have to assume they do that for the kids because if not it is some truly awful script writing.

Also, the Silver Samurai was not explained at all...why did he need that thing to survive exactly? It was all so vague...toward the end, you were just kind of forced to accept certain things.

I thought it was pretty good. I liked the story, and the action was good.

I agree at times it was kinda cheesy, and they don't exactly explain what about that silver samurai suit was keeping dude alive. But I didn't really care or even think about it while watching.

But it is based off a comic book, and the dude is an x-men, it is kinda supposed to be cheesy.lol

Maybe because those are the kind of lines that you find in old comic books geared towards children? :confusedshrug:

Damned if you stick to the books....damned if you don't.

I think as far as one liners go it is only damned if you do.

The rest of the dialog was not geared to 9 year olds

The girl they got to play his side kick was fantastic...very happy they didn't get the stereotypical super model for that role like Eva Mendes or something. Instead it was a very unique looking no name actress.

lol i've seen this one too..like hbo a few weeks ago or so~

Really annoyed me how dumb Wolverine was in it, and how ninja's could beat his claws with swords. he got so sliced up but the Wolverine i know should've been able to beat them and even jump on top of the roofs to take those bow guys out. that scene where he just ran and ran while they shot arrows in him really annoyed me.

like what happened to his amazing reflexes, and cat like abilities?

he lost all his claw fighting skills in this one too.

that big robot enemy at the end was kind of dumb imo, really hate that kind of bad guy...

some aspects of it weren't bad, i like ninja stuff, but all in all a bit below average super hero movie imo.

i don't have a problem with someone neg'ing me at all, i just wish u fgts would give some explanations or reasons to defend your claims against my criticisms, which i think are very valid.

i've never seen Wolverine this weak, altho his regeneration was ridiculous and made up for it i guess but still the wolverine i knew could dodge stuff, jump real high and killed people jumping on thier shoulders and stuff. this version was like a noob Wolverine.

well in the comics he could...his go to move was the shoulder jumping down stabs... and Wolverine was a much better fighter in the Xmen movies than in this one. this one he was really weak other than his regernative abilities.
