How bad would this hurt his all time ranking?

That would mean that pretty much all the top players since the 90s have been using. His all time ranking would take as much hit as Jordan and kobe would as compared to players who played before the 90s. There is a reason no athlete ever snitches on other athletes unless he is caught. For decades now athletes in other sports have been using some kind of PEDs, it wouldn't surprise me if NBA players were using given that even bad player who are on the bench make millions.

It would be very bad. Especially if he was the first and/or biggest of a string of busts. There would be a whole lot of asterisks in the record books and it would taint the image of the league as a whole if their best player/poster boy was on roids.
I can't say for sure what it would do to his ranking, I'm sure some would keep him where he is, maybe with an asterisk. Some would bump him down 10-20, some would probably choose to never mention him in any sort of ranking discussion.
But I can say that his legacy, along with the league's would be tarnished, and it would be a lot of negative press and a lot of recovery to get over a scandal of the sort.

see thats where youd be wrong,
Lance Armstrong was snitching on everybody and getting lawyers whatever he could do to out people while he himself was the biggest user and he was trying to cover that up,
He sued hundreds of people who tried to out him,he had several people blackballed from cycling,
anything to get an advantage he did
Carl Lewis did the same thing only he had the backing of the US Government on his side

hed look like JJ Redick,a tank
Redick went from 180 pounds to 230 pounds
and hes only 5'10
Redick is bigger than most players in the league
230 and youre only 5'10,damn
They need punishments like they have in college where they retroactively remove awards (MVP, championships, etc). They also need to do playoffs suspensions like college does bowl suspensions.

That is a horrendous idea. Yea let's take a horrible system and implement it in even more areas :facepalm retroactive punishments punish everyone but who actually committed the wrong doing. How is it fair to the fans, management, and other players to be banned from the post season if one player is on PEDs?

Let me translate his post.
"If Lebron gets caught with PEDs, that means EVERY NBA player in the history was using, and no doubt, every current NBA player is guilty as well."
The stans would find a way to make it seem like it's not a big issue.

#1. I didn't even call him out. I pointed out how naive you must think we are to use those pics.

It puts responsibility on management to monitor their players. It puts it on fans to not support cheaters. Also, before the playoffs or Finals, they should do drug screenings and eliminate any players caught.

i think its pretty obvious in this case lebron would be treated like barry bonds
kobe would be treated like ken griffey jr
no one would assume a skinny 205 pound kid who just shoots all day is gonna take roids
everyone would assume a 270 pound train who runs over people all day is definitely on roids
the guys who are named will be guilty and anyone else with assumptions will be guilty without even any evidence ( either way guys like lebron and wade will be assumed guilty )
lebrons all time status would be stripped. no hall of fame.

All of you posters thinking that lebron must be on steroids or thinking that he looks too deezed are just showing your immaturity and lack of knowledge on the subject. The issue has never been steroids, if nba players use peds it would be hgh if anything. The guy is not even that muscular. He just has a stocky frame and bulky shoulders, nothing else is too impressive let alone suspect

Wrong. If NBA players were using, they'd be using EPOs.
Why would they be taking supplements that Sylvester Stallone uses?

Are you serious? It helps you recover from injuries and minimizes wear and tear - two of the major issues plaguing all nba players. Basketball is a young man's game and hgh helps you neutralize that disadvantage as you progress in your career. Players go through all this trouble icing their knees and taping their ankles every game, why wouldnt they do something as simple as taking the odd hgh injection? Wade lebron and kobe all have a ton of wear and tear, hgh is like a miracle for them. Something like EPO is too much of a hassle for basketball players, that shit is strictly for biking

I don't think they will revoke/void his two titles. It's a team sport after all.
Maybe they will void his MVPs. His awards and records will be erased. Don't think they will even put his name in the record books even with an asterisk. :lol
But the NBA will protect its superstars at all costs. The league will lose so much prestige and money if sh*t hits the fan.
Only time this will happen is when the government become really serious about this issue. So far, they don't give a damn as long as American athletes are winning medals left and right. It's only the USADA or some other agency doing the chasing.
Sooner or later though, an NBA superstar will get caught, though. You can't hide these things forever.

Not a steroids expert. You're probably right.
I just figured EPOs was more of an energy enhancer, and HGH was more of a bodybuilding type PED. I wasn't factoring in the healing agencies in HGH.

Yes, that's clearly evident with most cyclists and boxers.
The thing about the NBA is, its an anaerobic sport. One would be hard pressed to find someone that travels and plays basketball for 82 game stretches and still looking like they were carved out of wood, and maintaining such a physical frame.
Obviously they have nutritionists and training regimens, but PEDs would definitely aid in the recovery and maintenance of size, speed, energy levels, etc.
You have to imagine some of these college or fresh out of highschool players going to PEDs to adjust to the faster pace and longer scheduling of the NBA. That's not a shocker at all. The access to PEDs would be there in the blink of an eye.
The amount of money these guys make. They can buy the newest and the most undetectable stuff on the market, and no one would know about it.

EVERYONE in the league uses illegal substances.
The only difference is that someone (the richest, most famous or just well connected) might use the cutting edge ones while the vast majority is stuck with steroids or outdated stuff.
Stars will always be protected while i feel sorry for the scrubs that will get caught in the next years.
