crazy thing to me is how he'll pop in to my head sometimes, completely out of the blue. not sure if it's the afro, the soothing voice, the happy little this-and-that expressions. so good that i have a buddy or two who remembers him and we can riff this into jokes and stuff.

My local PBS played Bob Ross every Saturday at 4pm until like 2004. I watched it way more than any human should have. He did do a good job at explaining the basics of painting, but obviously wasn't creating any world shattering art.

Still it was like magic how he made the landscapes. So relaxing. Im glad I have a few of his episodes on dvr. I can turn to them if I ever have trouble sleeping. His voice is so soothing.
