It's not a bad roster but it's not a title winning roster. I like our guards, young(ish for JR), athletic and can hit open jumpers. (Shump, JR and now Hardaway). Our big rotation is not athletic or defensive minded enough for anything though and our PG situation is ok.

The advantage we have which is bizarre as a Knick fan is continuity, we play well together, we give good effort as a unit, while other teams flip everyone every year. Strange to say.

Yeah, but Marbury wouldn't play to anyone's strengths but his own. Then he got coaches as stubborn as him, and got into pissing contests with them. And then, which always to me was under reported, his knees just gave out. So even if he would play closer to "the right way", he couldn't do it anymore. And he started getting surlier and stranger. He seems in a better way now (strange but not as asshole like).

There was about a 2 week period where he became Marbury the distributor, he looked reborn. It was sick. His shot looked good, but he was taking only good ones, passing like a demon, and setting that sick pace, like Kidd would, that pace that takes people totally out of their game. And then, he just stopped doing it. It was so frustrating to see. And then the injuries and it was gone.

I remember when he went to the Celtics, the arguing on this board, people were expecting him to be starter quality and I kept saying he has no knees, he can't do it.
