Where do you stand?

Personally I'm somewhat in the middle leaning towards GMO side. Apparently the new fad is to be anti-GMO. Here's a little advice: educate yourself on what the product is rather than throwing all your eggs in one basket and hopping on the bandwagon. Learn how GMO products affect world demand, the economy, the many varieties of GMO produce before going the trendy route and chastising GMO altogether. And if you do go that route, be prepared to clear out 90% of your cupboards. I'm not rallying for GMO, I'm just saying make a clear educated decision. If the bad outweighs the good then all the power to you

The world health organization and the american medical association have conducted studies and found that its just as safe as regular food, the EU has funded studies on it that have reached the same result.

There is zero scientific basis that suggests that GMO are hazardous.

Also at least in the US the vast majority of produce are all genetically modified, even stuff that says "organic" right on the label.

There seems to be only one "serious experiment" showing that GMOs are bad... and upon examining it... it was some pretty bad science. They essentially fed mice GMOs... found that they grew mammary tumors...proudly proclaimed that it was the fault of the GMO (failing to mention that the particular type of mouse... when overfed, will grow tumors), proceeded to emotionally appeal to people by showing the tumor wracked mice because yeah... that's SUCH good science! - and did not do any kind of follow up... nor has there been any independent replication of the experiment, as far as I know.

So long story short... I think there needs to be more studies on GMOs... but for now... people are freaking out over nothing. What they should be more concerned about is modified genes contaminating organisms in the wild... as that COULD potentially threaten their genetic diversity.

Non gmo, for the simple fact that gmo is banned in Europe. I tend take the non-gmo side until gmo is proved safe.

I switched to organic 2 years ago. I used to have really bad psoriasis with psoriatic arthritis. The foods in my diet did not change, just the source of them. Key word, used to have psoriasis, as it's completely gone now. I don't care what others choose to eat, just don't hide the fact that a food is a GMO.

People hate Monsanto because they spray their seeds over every farmer's farms and then sue them into poverty while seizing their lands and expanding their empire. The individual farmers whose families have lived as farmers for generations are getting bumf4cked by Monsanto. That is why people hate Monasanto.

And also, you'd have to do studies on every GMO product in order to determine what is safe and what is not. You can't just generalize one genetic change that is safe or not safe to every genetic change ever done. So studies regarding GMOs are highly unfeasible and you should not really expect them to be done in any significant way.

Look at these idiots spouting out nonsense about organic food. It's better. Period. If you disagree, you haven't gone full fledge organic. F*ck what the studies say; even scientific studies can be bought and paid for. Be your own scientist and experiment it for yourself.

F*ck the GMOs and pesticides. Organic is the way to go. If you can afford it, then do it; it not only taste better, but you'll be damn well healthier too since you are getting the essential nutrients GMOs don't provide.

We don't live in China dumbsh*t. There is a blatant attack on organic farming and foods by multi-billion dollar food companies throwing around bullsh*t articles like your's.

Like I said, if you want the truth, experiment it yourself. Find reputable farmers and companies that provide organic food and try it.

There is a reason why all your favorite athletes live and swear by them. There is a reason why reputable doctors prefer organic over the sh*t you get at fast food restaurants.

It works.

You must be some experience yoga expert to bend so far backwards and take it up the a*s based on a bunch of pseudo science these multi-national companies are throwing out there.

Don't believe the bullsh*t and try it for yourself.

Yeah, I just got back from China. This article is spot on, even though it is a bit drastic about the people. People will only do what is allowed of them. China has a lot of problems, and the only rationale I see to buy a product made from China is the notion that with enough money the profits will in turn lead to better moral principles of economics.

In a sense China is where the US was in the 70's and 80's. The difference being the much larger population size, and the internet making it all much more visible. Much like in the 70's and 80's in America the focus now is only on profit, without care for anything else. This will continue to be the case until something changes from within China, where the 'elitist' population demands changes and a better quality of life/food etc.

A large amount of "American organic food" is grown in China. Dumba$s

I grow most of my vegetables myself buddy. Climb down off your high-horse for a second. I take the seed, put it in the ground and nurture it until it is ready to nourish me... Spare me your fvcking lecture, I doubt you've ever eaten something you've planted yourself.

Well my argument is this:

Just because we import from China and we have a lot of fake science regarding foods, it does not mean organic food is bad in and of itself.

It does not mean GMOs are better than organic; it does not mean organic is a myth.

It just means there is a lot of bullsh*t surrounding it.

As a die hard organic person, I know there are fake organic companies (huge corporations have been buying them up for decades and it is arguable the USDA is too loose on their definition of what is organic or not), but I also know that there are reputable farmers and companies that provide organic foods, and if you stick with these guys and actually eat organic, your health will drastically improve.

It is a fact organic foods are by far better than GMOs. It's not the same ballpark. Ignore all the bullsh*t and actually try it for yourself. The proof is in the experiment.

Sorry homeboy, I'm just calling you out. What you posted is more PR propaganda prevalant in our food industry today. Just because we import sh*t from pesticide over-populated China does not mean organic foods is bad in and of itself.

Growing a bunch of sh*tty fly infested herbs and carrots in a small patch in your backyard where your dogs urinate in is not what I consider organic farming.

And you know what, maybe some skinny a*s asian guy knows what the f*ck he is talking about considering the same guy has been raised in a diet that has the lowest rate of obesity and heart disease compare to any industrialized GMO infested nation on earth.

I'm not disagreeing with your preference, I in fact share it. Most of what is called "organic" isn't.

You obviously know nothing about farming, I doubt you've ever grown anything in your life. It's satisfying. I assure you I am a 100% organic farmer. Unlike the guy who you by your veg off, who almost certainly uses pesticides.

So because slants are skinny, that means you know anything about farming? Do you know karate too? Back to the rice fields boy.

Rice is good for you: low in fat with a high nutritious content. It sure beats stuffing your face with hot pockets and hamburgers to get the same kind of fulfillment.

Don't hate on the asian diet; the proof is in the conclusion: there is a reason why you don't see a lot of fat asians.

They only get fat when some sh*t like panda express gets passed off as real asian food.

500 000 people in Asia lose their vision on an annual basis because they eat too much rice, which is very poor on beta-carotene. Asian food is also full of MSG.

Imma stick to Mediterranean diet.

Who gives a f*ck if they lose their vision? That's why we invented *gasp* GLASSES!!!

So you're saying a diet with the lowest rate of heart disease and obesity (the biggest killers of diet) is all of a sudden "bad" because a bunch of asians need to hit up their local Lenscrafter?

Again, grasping at straws. You and Clint Eastwood reject need to sit in the back of the bus.

I'm not the one pulling sh*t out of my a*s without any evidence to back it up.

Eating rice causes blindness. GTFO. There are many causes of blindness: it could be genetics, environment, habits, and good ole fashion old age.

Then he goes on to assume asians only eat rice, that's it! Nothing else that contains beta carotene. Ask any asian and he probably never had an orange or a carrot, heck, he probably doesn't know what a cabbage is .. y'know because the only thing they eat is rice over there.

Rambo, your posts are all over the place. First you say their is a lot of bullshyt experiments then you go to saying the proof is in the experiments. Kind of contradicting you think? By your posts it sounds like you're only believing the science that supports your logic

Also nobody is saying eat pizza pockets or refuting organic food is better. They are saying that not all GMO is bad for you.

Sounds like you're being combative just for the sake of it.

I don't support any pseudo science regarding foods that rely on junk science and is nothing more than a marketing scheme to actually convince people foods laden with sugar, salt, pesticides and chemicals are better than the real deal.

Since there is so much bullsh*t and propaganda, I suggested we all act like true scientists and experiment ourselves.
