Michael Jordan. He was exceptionally ratifying.

I'd say Kobe's dunks are more vicious, while MJ's seem to be more artistic. Some of MJ's dunks made it seem like he would just hang in the air forever, and there was nothing the defense could do about it.

That's the only one thing? Not the leaping ability, hang time, artistry and other worldly body dexterity? Not the aggressiveness to finish with finesse or power over players much larger than himself?

Shut your dumb agenda driven ass up.

As to the OP. They both had a ton of great facials as little guys dunking on big men in traffic, but MJ's superior artistry in the open court gives him the nod as the better in game dunker.

Not all at MJ's level. For instance, Kobe doesn't have MJ's leaping ability, hang time, body dexterity or his ability to palm the ball. Is Kobe athletic in his own right? Absolutely. You however made it sound like his hands were the one reason people were captivated by MJ's aerial assaults. It's quite clear he's the superior athlete and dunker to Kobe. Which means stop using Kobe's little mamba as your personal pacifier. Your agenda removes any objectivity from your posts.

MJ.

Kobe tried to be a little bit flashier in game when he was young, but MJ was on a different level athletically. MJ's fluidity, explosiveness, and body control are unmatched in my view. He could do more with the ball after take off than probably any other player. He was more effective, and imo inspired greater awe.

lol, like I said if u are going base it on leaping ability, hang time, body dexterity than Jordan(or Kobe)wouldn't even make top 5. What ever u may think it still doesn't take the fact that Most of Jordans greatest dunks looked special because he palmed the ball. also take a good look in the mirror, cause u got Jordans shyt down ur throat

Kobe is nice, don't get me wrong. Both are great in game, competitive take it to the rack on much bigger guy type dunkers. But MJ's creativity, and originality in the full court is more impressive though. With that said, Kobe had some nice windmills and 360s back in the day.

The only reason I pick Frobe Bryant is because he had so much swaggar when he dunked. The way he twisted his body in the air was unique. No other player has ever dunked like Kobe.

I want to say that Jordan could jump higher. There is no doubt that he could jump from further away.

Kobe has more of those dunks where it's like he winds up to explode on the rim. Mj had power too but a lot of his one handed dunks explode downward. Mj would get the ball as high as he could where there was less chance for anyone to block it, then send it down. Kobe's approach makes it seem like he's sending it through with more force. It that sense, Kobe's finishes just create more of a visually powerful dunk. Has to do more with the evolution of dunking though.

Vince Carter has more incredible dunks than both Kobe and Jordan... But I dont know if he has a single dunk better than Mjs best... The one over the guy in the summer games? that was incredible but it didnt have the weight of Mjs dunk on Ewing and half the Knick squad

I think overall though VC might have a case as the best in game dunker of all time

Pretty sure I said in game.

High school LeBron (McDonalds Slam Dunk winner in 2003 vs Shannon Brown and others) would beat 18 year old Kobe (who won in a weak NBA dunk contest) in a dunk off, 1on1 or anything really (minus chucking contest).

And J Rich is definitely not one of the great in game dunkers. Put the pipe down.

Same Shannon Brown that missed a couple of dunks in the NBA dunk contest?

He asked Kobe to coach him too. Brown just couldn't pull off some of those Kobe dunks.

People talking about "ferocious" need to understand that the rims were built differently back then. There's pre-Shaq rims and after-Shaq rims.

Rims had to be constructed differently after Shaq started to demolish them, they had that extra spring that allowed them to bend more, thus giving the illusion that a dunk was more powerful.

So while some of today's dunks may 'look' more powerful, there's no way one can honestly say that they actually were.

if anything dunkers from every era dunk just as hard, because well

In his book, Phil says Kobe's more flexible. He doesn't make an analogy, allude to it, or insinuate it. He just flat out says it.

"Kobe is more flexible."

I think that's probably why he's a better dunker. He improvises better in the moment.

More like users not wanting to provide their videos for free in a platform that bars ads.
