well the logic that lebron was lucky the other coach, one of the greatest in league history as it happens, cost his team the series by making the same crucial mistake on consecutive possessions stands up to scrutiny quite well

obv that's just an ihatelebron angle so it's not worth much but it lets me sleep at night so i'm gonna stick with it

just like Kobe should've given Shaq lifetime bjs right? or Fisher, MWP, Gasol.

i too, can't get over how Kobe's had so much help propping up his career. i really wish basketball isn't a team sport so i can watch Kobe not win anything. it really should be an individual sport, right? no one has the right to win with his teammates' help! such injustice! it's wrong!

All other historically great players were allowed to have stacked teams throughout their careers, Lebron on the other hand is not. All other historically great players were allowed to have teammates who were capable of hitting big shots, again Lebron is not.

Don't you see what kind of standards Lebron is even held to? Not even Michael freakin Jordan was held to such a high standards. And by criticizing Lebron for it you are only admitting how great he truly is.

He got a pretty good look at it.

Even without considering the magnitude...that was a 10/10 difficulty shot, it'd go in maybe 5% of the time if every NBA player had a chance at that possession. Most of them wouldn't of even got the shot up properly. Need glove hands, pure confidence, court awareness, AND finally ability to hit the three under pressure.

He's just so damn clutch. It was just fate it got to him. Anyone else in the NBA or on the Heat wouldn't of been able to tiptoe that line and made that shot. Maybe 1 or 2 other players...would of been able to get it off that quick and with that chance..actually just one...Curry

They did talk about Ray Allen's shot, are you kidding me? What do you want? For them to ignore Lebron completely? Lebron did much more than hit one single basket that entire year every single game (even during that specific games crucial time) hence there is much more to talk about.... without Lebron Ray Allen wouldnt be in that situation, without Ray Allen Lebron would still be in that situation and maybe even better considering Ray Allen infact was playing & shooting way under his standards that year (it was kindof obligatory for him to at least hit THAT crucial shot, it was a "finally" moment) while they had other spotup shooters of recent 3pt champion Jones or even Miller who could have also not only made that wideopen shot right there but perhaps done better during that series putting them in a better position....

Its like trying to diminish Jordan in situations where Steve Kerr (or many other guys) who "bailed him out"....

Now go start another thread about how Euroleague is better than NBA instead.

Considering all the unlucky moments in Lebron's career he deserves some lucky moments.

Being too scared to shoot, or shooting an airball, or getting blocked on a layup attempt, or turning the ball over, etc. in the last play of the game does not translate to an "unlucky moment".

Which series did he lose because of an unlucky moment? And let's not forget about all the injuries that the several star and all-star players suffered from in the last two years. If that's not luck for Lebron then I don't know what is...wait, I do, that Ray Allen 3!

I remember against the Magic in game 4 I think Delonte West had the rebound to seal the game but let it go out of bounds then the Magic tied the game the next game. Other moments in playoff games as well.
Lol at the bolded Lebron rarely does that.
His whole tenure with Cleveland was unlucky because of the teammates he was with and the same goes for Wade with the crap team he had in his prime.

This is unfair. Hell, in the 09 playoffs alone against the Magic Lebron was absurdly unlucky. Not only did his teammates wet the bed, but Rashed Lewis caught fire and Howard played the best series of his career. Lewis also happened to be cheating with PED's at the time as well. And Hedo was likely cheating at the time as well.

That was straight up unlucky.

Wow talk about anti-clutch :lol seriously though the Spurs choked this away. They couldn't just hit 1 free throw. Pretty pathetic.

There is no mystical force of luck.

There is strong reasons as to why that 3PT opportunity arose, and why it was executed.

Seems like ray shot that 3 point bomb right up your butthole the way your crying about it.

An excellent post, worthy of postive rep.

It's not just the Ray Allen shot. It's that if the Spurs had Duncan out there there's a great chance that he could have grabbed a rebound and Ray Allen wouldn't have hat the chance to shoot that 3.

Poppovich pulling Duncan out of the game is the biggest mystery to me. How can a future hall of fame coach who has won 4 championships have been so stupid?
