I am wearing jersey number 3 because 6 and 23 were already taken.

#4 was my primary until high school, in honor of Joe Dumars.

I was #42 my freshman year because I had the last pick being an underclassman playing up.

Then my sophomore, again I had last pick - between #10 and #22. First I opted for 10 in honor of Pistons-era Dennis Rodman, then at the last second I switched to 22 for no real reason other than thinking it looked pretty cool. I wore 22 from that day forward.

Now that I'm a lot older and much more "grounded", I wear #15...because...it was the first jersey I picked up from the bag when they were handing them out.

It worked out though because Steve Francis came into the league and became my favorite player and also wore #3

When I first played I didn't have a choice since I joined my team late. I got #19.

The next season no one wanted #1 so I got it. Lol some guy wanted #11 bc of detlef. Another #13 BC of Kendall Gill. And both those fagggits made fun of me for choosing #1. BC even when crippled penny hardaway was way cooler than detlef or kendall (no disrespect to either)

I'm one of those guys that's pretty particular about wearing a certain number.

8 has been my jersey number since high school really (I'm 30 now).

I've wore 4 and 6 for a few teams I've played with in between but always feel that bit more confident in my "real" number. Sounds crazy I know, but I'm sure some of you understand.
