Well nothing much you can do when you're forced to sign everyone except Kaman on minimum. I think the Lakers did the best they could considering their financial situation.

We have 11 guaranteed contracts, I believe, with Elias Harris having a 2 year contract, first year partial guaranteed, second year believed to be team option. People trying to work their way onto the team include Kelly, Harris, Henry, Landry, Johnson-Odom, and Williams.

My personal guess of who sticks on the team.

If Kelly is not healthy, I guess Williams or Landry would battle for that last spot?

There were reports last month that said Lakers promised Lamar Odom a spot on the team if he first went to rehab, those reports were later said to be false. Miami also said they were not interested in Michael Beasley and we all saw how that turned out, so who knows.

I thought I read an article floating around the web somewhere that said Lakers and Kobe have began extension talk. I'll search for it.
Edit: I found it, you were right. It said Lakers have "not" began negotiation talks with Kobe. That's what I get for speed reading. :)

They are arguably the most famous basketball team in the world and yet their roster is full of unknowns. It's so sad that Kobe will just accept this and waste what could be his last good year. Then again maybe he likes it this way so that it will give him more reason to shoot more and surpass MJ.
