Jordan said there's a long list of players he would've liked to have played one-on-one: Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Julius Erving, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

"I don't think I would lose," Jordan said in the video, before smiling and adding, "Other than to Kobe Bryant, because he steals all of my moves."

Jordan's repping of Kobe has become really transparent lately. He knows that Kobe is a shitty version of himself and that he will never surpass him, so he keeps propping him up, while not giving any credit to LeBron.

Kobe's best = Average Jordan; Kobe wins 2 games...maybe.

Exactly

MJ will always choose kobe because kobe is his son....a sh1tty imitation of him at that while LeBron is unique and that's why LeBron has shot AT GOAT and MJ knows it.

Huuge difference between scouting and assessing a player after theyre done with it all. MJ could tell you all about ewing barkley drexlers games etc spot fvcking on.. has zero to do with predicting how a 17 yr old will turn out ten years down the road.

So because MJ can't predict talent... that means he can't see an elite player an size him up? Lol. Some of you guys. I suppose he was just athleticism, not a student of the game at all. He would dribble up on a player and have no clue how good that player was. Tape was meaningless.

LeBron / Bird / Magic are the best "team first players" of all-time.

MJ / Kobe are the best ISO, individual players of all-time.

LOL @ OP acting like MJ said he couldn't beat Kobe. He was admitting Kobe would be the only one of those guys who could probably steal some games from him. Why? It's a back handed compliment to himself. Hardest person to defend is yourself, and Kobe is an imitation version of Jordan.

Imitation version with better range
That only hurts Kobe, though. He stays shooting stupid shots.

MJ's ability to beat him off the dribble and finish at the rim consistently with authority makes him the better player. Kobe's superior range confuses him into bad shot selection.

and more moves in his arsenal.
Umm, no.

Like I said, a watered down, knock off, fugazy imitation Jordan.

Kobe took MJs moves and then added his own flair. This is truth, he has more moves than Jordan. Just like Michael Jackson watched Jackie Wilson and James Brown, took some of their moves and added skill to it.

But the fact that Kobe even did that and actually became all time great at it causes you Jordan homers to look more into gum chewing and Jersey biting than what it really is. Yawl swear he's taking his mannerisms and other junk, but he really isn't. Kobe isn't doing anything (chewing gum, biting Jersey, talk clear in interviews) that other players don't do. Jordan stans just madd insecure and create dumb myths.

Give it a rest, ya boy been out of the league for da illest minute. Last time I even watched a full game of his, he was busy watchin Kobe drop 55pts on his squad, being scored with unreal range and skill.

Let Jordan Rest In Peace bruh.

SamuraiSWISH

Kobe took MJs moves and then added his own flair.
They are literally, like everything Kobe has done during his career a direct copy of Jordan. No new flair. Lacking any sort of originality.

He desperately wanted to be Jordan so bad, it was creepy. Especially from '97 - 2004-ish. From stories of PJ saying Kobe would study MJ videos constantly. To Kobe riddling teammate Ron Harper with questions about Jordan.

Mimicking MJ's whole swagger, from wristband, leg sleeve to gum chewing. Guy celebrated his 2009 Finals the EXACT same way MJ jumped and leg kicked after hitting "the shot" v.s. Cleveland.

Kobe un-aware at his own self induced awkwardness jumped on the scores table at home after winning the Finals in 2001 and 2010 celebrating JUST like MJ did in '92 and '97.

He even swagger jacked MJ's "you can't guard me" boasting game he had on Gerald Wilkins. Kobe trying to replicate it v.s. Battier in the 2009 playoffs. His levels of imitation have reached crazy levels through out his career.

I'd like to see one move that Kobe took of Jordan, added flair, or as you claim ... having more moves.

I'll give you a hint, he doesn't. Everything he does footwork, fadeaway, post game wise is an exact copy of Jordan.
