I notice posters with alot of green bars think their good posters when they really aren't. I remember I while back when I was mocking posters being sarcastic asking for rep like a hood thug saying "rep me dawg homie yo" (isn't that how "hood" people talk?) and I ended up getting repped. Futher proves that those with green bars are rep whores.

Lots of red = You definitely suck. You didn't get all the red from unjustified petty down-voting. You deserve it and it's best for people to avoid your posts the moment they see all the red. For the good of humanity, stop sharing your opinions.

i think the best posters theoretically should have close to 0 rep. I don't know how the rep is weighted even if it is, but if you have guy that has perfectly balanced rep he's surely bringing a lot of debate to the forums. A lot of guys with tons of green bars just rep themselves with alts or are just circlejerkers.
as a person who pursues balance, i tend to agree.

there's definitely some neg rep members here who make interesting, provocative points. and true, they can also be over the top at times, but that's pretty much always the case with people who take risks. in the end they have a chance to come to deeper, more nuanced, and more balanced understandings of reality than the herd. especially if they're younger... still figuring things out.


many of the full-green posters and most of the people who completely dismiss the neg-rep posters are pretty much crashing bores. :(

I'm not sure how you even manage to get in the red. I have a bunch of positive and negative reps, but still have a ton of green bars. My last 5 reps were all negative... doesn't seem to have much effect.

I think it's arbitrary. If El Jeffe doesn't dislike you, then you'll get green or heavily weighted green. If El Jeffe dislikes you, then he ramps up the weight of the negs and yur doomed lol

Red doesn't always mean "bad poster" though. It could just mean "controversial poster".
