photo realistic human hair is extremely difficult to achieve in pure 3D...esp when animate




we will eventually get to the point where we can create photo real 3D humans, but we are not there yet...

I was reading up on something relating to this type of stuff and graphics in video games, and apparently researchers and experts saying that no matter how realistic graphics get, humans will be able to tell it apart most of the time. Due to the fact we see faces everyday, and subconsciously our brain takes in little things we don't necessarily think of at the forefront, and this helps us identify and authenticate.
