Reality check. Ray Allen was shooting 39% from 3 as a rookie. Wade did average 16/4/4 on 46% from the field in his first year. Is Waiters talented as hell? Yes. Did injuries prevent him from having a better first year? Yup. But...Ray Allen? Dwyane Wade? Give me a f*cking break. Waiters scores 21 in a preseason game? Wow, that's amazing. MVP! MVP! MVP!

Ok, so with this screenshot, you proved that no rookie in NBA history has ever been selected to an all-star team while averaging under .412% FG and .31% 3P shooting.

That's completely irrelevant considering only 18 rookies have played in an all-star game in the last 25 years.

Not to mention, nobody on this planet Earth with half a brain expected Dion Waiters to be an all-star(or even all-star level) last year. Try a little harder with your hating and save it for a player that deserves it.

Judging from that highlights video, I expect him to have a better season as well. He looks slimmer and with a healthy supporting(Irving) cast around him, the defense won't solely focus on him.

The Cavs are looking very promising.

Of course every Cavs fan is hoping for the dream scenario of the team keeping its core, Bynum being healthy AND LeBron coming back in say 2015. That could definitely get them 2-3 titles. But even in the most likely scenario where it doesn't happen, they still look like playoff mainstays for years to come.

Waiters has well above average athleticism for the position. He's not an elite athletic specimen but he has decent explosiveness.

The hype is he's a very young 2 guard that has a great iso game, can knock down shots, and has a fearless mentality. Other rookies in his class like Beal, Lamb, and Barnes can't create for themselves while Dion excels as a primary ball handler. He has a rare skill set; and in this weak SG era he can become one of the best 2s in the league.

he actually made several key plays with his defense. He got a time out called because he whined for a non call and didn't get back in transition. Mike Brown called him out and kyrie responded.
