Starbury still has it. Against one of the best Euroleague team, the 36 years old Stephon Marbury scores 25 points with 6 assist. Madrid however won a close game 92-86 against Marbury's Beijing Ducks.
"The Beijing Ducks of course feature former NBA All Star Stephon Marbury, who had been their hero and leader en route to their maiden CBA title in 2012. Marbury proved to be unstoppable for the Madrid defense, and slashed and shot his way to 25 points. The chief benefactor of Marbury's kick and drives or rebounding off his missed opportunities was his American teammate Randolph Morris, who kept the Ducks close with a game-high 28 point performance.
It was a back-and-forth contest throughout, and while Beijing mostly relied on their two American imports for offense, Madrid spread the ball around to keep their top contributors Jaycee Carroll, Sergio Rodriguez, and Tremmel Darden involved. The Ducks made a surprising third-quarter run to lead 63-57 before the final period began. The game continued to be close in the fourth quarter, and the score was tied 77 all with just five minutes left on the clock. Madrid finally broke out to a 13-3 run to put the game past Beijing, and settled on a 92-86 win. "
36 years old Starbury unstoppable for top Euroleague teams! :biggums:

It's even MORE impressive he did this against Real Madrid, and none of those Madrid imposters.

Impressive, but Madrid's PGs aren't exactly know for D.
Aaron Jackson always destroyed them when playing for my home team.

Not only their pgs but the whole team is bad at defense. They play very fast style of basketball that can give them big advantage in short period of time but they can also lose that advantage just as quick, EL finals are best example.

Don't you know:oldlol:
That Americans has the most Euroleague MVPs, Finals MVPs,All Euroleague Teams, Euroleague All Decade team and Euroleague Greatest Players more than any nation in Europe and most of them are there because NBA did not bother.

He had Sergio Llull guarding him and only scored 25 points? Yeah, he's a total has been.
Llull might be the worst defender in the world of professional basketball.
The same people bragging in this thread, say Spanoulis is the world's biggest scrub and could never make and NBA roster.
Spanoulis scored 22 points in a HALF, against a DOUBLE TEAM of Llull and Rodriguez.

Chinese teams being so competitive against euroleague powerhouses is pretty impressive.Another chinese team played against Panathinaikos and lost only by one.Let's not forget they are allowed only 2 foreigners per team.No such restrictions exist for euroleague clubs.

Panathinaikos only had 6 or 7 players in that game, and only 6 from that main roster. Get serious.
Also, national leagues in Europe have restrictions on foreigners, so Panathinaikos and Real Madrid (although theirs is looser) do have restrictions on foreigners.
You have been doing some super level trolling lately.

even that 6-7 pao players should be enough to beat Fushan Long Lions.Chinese league would be really strong if they allowed 5-6 foreigners per team

WTF?
A team with 6 mostly 2nd tier rotation players and you expect them to travel to the other side of the world and easily win a game against a professional team with 6 guys?
Why are you all of a sudden being such a huge troll?
The CBA is underrated. Their champion team from last year was quite a good team.
But come on, you are being ridiculous.
The Heat would struggle like freaking hell to travel to China with 6 players and easily win a game.
It really has nothing to do with the level of Long Lions team.

That said, the CBA is underrated though. The CBA teams lately have been regularly beating the teams from New Zealand with ease, and even winning the teams from Australia in the majority of cases.
And the teams from Australia are much better than people realize.

CBA has been regularly winning the Australian teams in recent years. And the NBA players that have gone to Australia for exhibitions have struggled badly against Australian competition.
So yeah, the CBA is underrated.
Still though, it's beyond absurd to compare it to Euroleague.

This is the same league where Quincy Douby scored like 50 something in the Finals. Yet they are competitive with only 2 scrubs carrying them unlike in Euroleague where unlimited scrubs can flock together. Sounds like they need a bit more Parker, Batiste, Langdon, Mickael, Huffman Blair etc .

And the Eurocup, the level BELOW Euroleague team Bilbao almost beat the 76ers and in fact WOULD have beaten then if not for the clear help the refs gave the 76ers through the game.
All over Twitter American players in Europe could not stop laughing at the 76ers. They were just clowning them left and right, saying how unbelievably pathetic that was.
And that Bilbao team is made up of either young players that have not done shit, or old has beens, and they have a rookie coach.
It's not even a good Eurocup team even.
A freaking NBA team almost lost to an average basically Eurocup team.
And if Douby is so good..............how come he's been waiting for YEARS to get a Euroleague contract?
In fact, this summer, it's well known he and his agent have been begging for a Euroleague contract.
If he was able to just completely destroy Euroleague as you imply, seems odd why he can't even get a Euroleague team to even sign him.
