Alright so I seen Candyman some twenty or so years ago when it first game out, and having only seen it once and being approximately ten years old I didn't entirely remember it all. So anywho, it happened to be on very late last night on AMC (Candyman, the original), and after watching I was in awe at how amazing the score/soundtrack was, so I looked it up.

Some dude named Philip Glass, and apparently he's some world-class composer. Shit is right. I looked into some of his other works and so far nothing disappoints. Absolutely nothing.

Something that also intrigued as I was watching/listening to the film last night was the song/title Music Box. While listening, I knew surely I had heard this somewhere before; elsewhere I had heard this same tune in my head, over and over. I thought about it some more, and came to the conclusion it was used in some rap song I heard before.

I tried doing a Google search to connect the dots but couldn't find a reference... it was buggin' me out until it just finally hit me - it was Canibus off the Rip the Jacker album - Genabis. Dope sample.
